A 31-year-old woman was filmed furiously telling a teenage pupil in the classroom of an Adelaide school that she would ‘slit her throat’ in a foul-mouthed attack
Adelaide mother faces court after threatening to “slit” student’s throat
A mum was filmed as she screamed she would “slit” the throat of a school pupil before being made to leave a classroom.
The unnamed 31-year-old woman furiously shouted at the private school in Adelaide and made violent threats during a rant which reportedly took place on February 3.
She is now accused of verbal assault on a teenager and will appear at Adelaide Magistrates’ Court. Speaking to local media she admitted what she did was wrong but claimed it was because her 13-year-old daughter had been subjected to “relentless” bullying.
In the shocking footage, full of expletives, she was heard to say: “You want to f***ing go bitch? You want to f***ing go? You ever f***ing talk to my daughter again…”
She was filmed inside the classroom, waving her arms aggressively before a man tried to lead her away. Then she continued shouting: “I’m your f***ing worst nightmare bitch. I’m your worst f***ing nightmare”.
She added: “You ever f***ing mess with my daughter again I’ll slit your f***ing throat. I’ll be waiting for you.” While finally as she was being held back, she said: “And that smart little f*** over there, yeah you, you know what, you’re just jealous because you’re **** ****. I’ll be waiting for you.”
And South Australia Premier Peter Malinauskas has also weighed in on the incident saying what happened was “indefensible”. He stated: “I don’t know what the circumstances were that led the parent to say those things, but whatever they were, they do not condone or justify those remarks in any circumstance whatsoever.”
But the mother told 7News her daughter had come home from school early that day after a fellow student told her to go and kill herself. “I don’t want my daughter to be another statistic. I don’t want to have to bury my child,” she said. “That is a breaking point for any parent … I went into survival mode, and protective mode.”
She also reportedly stated: “I did everything in my power as a parent and so did my husband to make sure our daughter was safe, especially dropping her off at school. I have stated time and time again to the school that we are begging. We begged for help. We begged.”
