‘The charge is super fast, I had one bar on my controller, did a quick swap and topped it up in no time at all’.
There’s nothing more frustrating for gamers than having to hit pause because your controller’s battery has died. Unless you’ve got a spare controller to hand, the most cost-effective solution is a charging dock that can power up your controller swiftly.
Enter OIVO’s dual charging station for PlayStation 5 controllers, which promises to fully charge the console’s DualSense pads in two hours. Usually priced at £25.99, it’s currently on sale for £16.99 when using the 15% voucher on the product page, which brings the total saving to 38%.
This deal runs until February 23, but Amazon says it may ‘change or cancel any offer at any time’. Tech expert Joshua Boyles from the MEN said this gadget stands out from its competitors with several unique features; not only does it charge your PS5 controllers at lightning speed, but it also looks sleek while doing so.

Its black and white design mirrors the PS5 console, ensuring it blends seamlessly into your gaming setup. It can be connected to your PS5 via either USB-C or USB-A, depending on which ports are free on your console.
What’s particularly commendable is OIVO’s decision to utilise the copper contacts at the bottom of the PS5 controllers for charging. While some third-party manufacturers require an additional USB-C dongle to be inserted into the top of the controllers, this charging dock allows you to simply drop the pads onto the dock for effortless charging.
If you’re a gamer with multiple controllers, there’s good news because this dock can juice up both at the same time. An LED indicator for each controller lets you know the charging status, glowing red or blue.
The PS5 controller charging dock is a hit with more than 15,000 customers awarding it an average rating of 4.6 stars. One happy customer said: “A controller charging dock is a really handy piece of kit to make sure that your controllers are always ready to go and this is the best one I’ve used on PS5 so far.”
Another said: “Overall I’m really happy with this. It functions really well, charges the controllers very quickly, and looks nice in my setup. It’s also a very affordable price and is a great alternative to the official Sony dock.”
A third impressed shopper added: “It does exactly what it says on the tin. The charge is super fast, I had one bar on my controller, did a quick swap and topped it up in no time at all.”
However, not all feedback is glowing, as a couple of customers have noted a downside, writing: “I recently picked up the 30th anniversary DualSense Edge, and it seems like the Edge controller doesn’t connect as easily as the regular DualSense. You can kind of rectify the issue by placing something for the DualSense Edge to rest on, to hold it up slightly, but I haven’t find something that works 100% of the time yet, like for the regular DualSense controllers.”
Another customer experienced durability concerns, saying: “About a month after bought though the charging indicator light for one of the dock points started to flicker. Not sure if it’s just the light or the actual connectors in the dock. About a month after that the second light is now doing the same thing and the first light has completely gone.”
Alternatively, Sony offers an official charging dock mirroring the design of the OIVO that’s available for £24.97. Additionally, PowerA has a charging dock for single PS5 controller that’s currently half price at £9.99 at Game.
