Nepeta ‘Purrsian Blue’
Showing a demonstration of the beautiful flower, Michael said, “Great at the front of a border, this is Nepeta Purrsian Blue.” As he explained, it has ‘lovely aromatic foliage’.
Loved by bees, it’s an great choice for gardeners hoping to attract more pollinators to their garden. Though it flowers from May to September, gardeners can get ahead by planting them now.
Scabious
Another perennial plant perfect for adding a splash of colour is the scabious. Michael mentioned, “They look fantastic in any kind of garden,” and they really shine when placed between other plants. Scabious is also loved by pollinators and birds, so it’s a great option for those wanting to encourage more wildlife into their garden.

Achillea Cerise Queen
If you have borders around your garden, this stunning plant is the perfect addition because to its striking appearance. Michael explained that Achillea produces flowers “for months on end,” and every three years, the plant can be divided to create even more blooms.
Aquilegia Spring Magic
For those seeking something more delicate yet equally beautiful, Aquilegia Spring Magic is the ideal choice. It grows to about 40cm high.
Michael praised its “beautiful nodding flowers” in late spring and early summer. These flowers are perfect for those who like to pick their own blooms for bouquets, as they last well when cut.
