Gene Hackman’s wife, Betsy Arakawa, searched the internet for information on flu-like symptoms just days before she died from a rare rodent-borne disease at her New Mexico home
Gene Hackman’s wife’s alarming internet search history days before her death revealed she looked up her symptoms. It has been revealed Betsy Arakawa was looking for breathing techniques in the days leading up to her death.
She died in February of hantavirus pulmonary syndrome, a week before her husband. The rare, rodent-borne disease that killed Betsy can have a range of symptoms, including flu-like illness, headaches, dizziness and severe respiratory distress. Betsy and Gene’s deaths left fans completely gobsmacked when both were found dead at their home in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Now, a review of the open bookmarks on her computer on February 8 and the morning of February 12 has shown her history. It shows how she was actively researching medical conditions related to COVID-19 and flu-like symptoms.
A health assessment carried out by the New Mexico Department of Public Health a week after the bodies were discovered found dead rodents and their nests in ‘eight detached outbuildings’ on the Hackman property. It’s said this made their $4million property a ‘breeding ground’ for the deadly hantavirus, according to TMZ.
