Talia Oatway shares update as son Oakley returns to hospital
Geordie Shore star Aaron Chalmers ex Talia Oatway has shared a “petrifying” update as their son goes back to hospital. The mum-of-three has been giving fans regular updates on their youngest son’s health.
Son Oakley has Apert Syndrome, which is a genetic disorder that causes fusion of the skull, hands and feet bones. Talia regularly gives her fans updates and this week she told her followers that Oakley had to go back to hospital.
Talia told fans: “I know I haven’t been on it today. Um, so Oakley had a gemranosec earlier this morning to have a CT scans on his brain just to basically out rule a lot of stuff for the sickness.

“Um, so he had that and then had to wait obviously for the neurosurgeons to look at the scans. I mean I’ve still got no answers but they did tell me some bits that’s going on with Oakley’s brain which obviously has petrified me.”
She added: “Um, but I’m waiting until the surgeons at Newcastle obviously speak to the surgeons in Liverpool and then I’ll have more of an understanding about the situation that Oakley is in. Um, but yeah it’s just been a really s*** day, very emotional day.”
The heartbreaking update comes after Talia shared another post in the summer about Oakley, which got fans worrying. At the time, she wrote: “Oakley had the worst sickness last night, from 11ish till about 5am.
“Bath after bath, bed change after bed change. I feel so sorry for him. The fundo surgery he’s due to have soon (after his hands) is so needed. It will stop him being sick completely. Currently on a meds run for him.”
Aaron and Talia welcomed their son Oakley into the world in February 2022. They are also parents to Romeo, four, and Maddox, three.
The couple first got together in 2017 but went their separate ways after Oakley was born. This comes as earlier this year, Aaron spoke about how he was struggling after the birth of his son.
He said that bare-knuckle boxing saved him from a “slippery slope” of drinking to deal with personal issues. He said: “And then leading into 2024, my son… As I was trying to get myself back on the straight and narrow, my son went into hospital.
“It was meant to be a routine head surgery, and he was in a coma and he was in Liverpool fighting for his life for eight weeks, and I just didn’t deal with it. I was just drinking, the only way to deal with losing my cousin and then that a couple of months after, I was just drinking.
“It came to August, I was still in limbo, I was not doing anything. I was in limbo. I was trying to go in the gym and then I was getting to the weekend and I was drinking. I was having blow-outs.”
Aaron turned to boxing which made him give up alcohol while he was training. He has had fights on and off since 2022 which he said has improved his relationship with alcohol.
