Georgia Toffolo found the perfect flattering midi dress for autumn which has now sold out in all but two sizes – but we managed to find a great lookalike that’s £65 less and still in stock
Our autumn outfit inspiration is coming in thick and fast at the moment, and the latest look we can’t get enough of comes courtesy of Georgia Toffolo. The former Made in Chelsea star shared one of newest purchases on Instagram, with the Mint Velvet Brown Corduroy Midi Dress a great choice for autumn.
The dress’ brown cord material and fitted midi length makes it great for the colder weather, and it’s easy to style with everything from knee high boots to ballet flats and trainers. However, the £150 dress is now sold out in every size except a 14 and 16, which is why we’ll be snapping up the more affordable Cotton Rich Corduroy Belted Midi Shirt Dress from Sosander instead.

The Sosander Midi Shirt Dress is available at Marks & Spencer for £85, making it £65 less than the Mint Velvet version. It’s a lighter shade than Toff’s dress, coming in a light neutral greige colour, but has a similar fitted body that’s tailored at the waist for an ultra-flattering fit.
It has a shirt dress style that buttons all the way up the front, with a detachable wide belt around the waist and a collared neckline. It also featured patch pockets on the chest, and two side pockets – and we all know how important it is when a dress has pockets!
The corduroy material is great for autumn and winter, helping keep you that little bit warmer and cosier than a typical cotton dress, and the cuffed long sleeves give you a little versatility when it comes to styling. The Sosander Midi Shirt Dress currently only has one review at M&S, which says: “Bought on sale, otherwise would be too expensive for such a dress. Slightly stretchy fabric, which is comfy, but metal bits finish could be better. Washed it before first wear and it kept shape very well.”
The Midi Shirt Dress is currently still in stock in sizes 12 to 20, with sizes six to 10 currently out of stock. However we also spotted another great pick at Boden, with the Amanda Cord Midi Dress available for £129.
It comes in three colours including a rich chocolate brown shade, and is available in three lengths, however, sizes are also selling out rapidly in this style too. Meanwhile if you’re willing to forgo the corduroy material, Hobbs’ Combs Dress are now down from £159 to £69 and has a similar flattering silhouette and brown shade, but comes in a simple lyocell blend material.
