The discounted smart watch comes in two styles and will last up to two weeks from a single charge
Ahead of Black Friday on November 29, Amazon is offering some brilliant deals across a variety of tech products, including budget smart watches. The online giant is currently offering £50 off the Amazfit Balance Smart Watch that’s popular among shoppers for its long battery life and impressive GPS tracking.
The smart watch is available in two sleek styles – Midnight Black and Sunset Grey – and usually retails for £199. For a limited time, you can snap up the gadget with a 25% discount, bringing the cost down to £149.
The slim watch has a lightweight metallic frame with a large 1.5 inch high resolution display with an ‘industry-leading’ anti-glare glass bezel. The Amazfit Balance Smart Watch has AI-powered Zepp Flow voice control that allows you to adjust settings, send speech-to-text messages, and much more. It can even offer personalised training plans to help you reach your goals, whether it’s to run a 3K or a full marathon.

The budget model won’t rival the likes of Apple Watch or Samsung’s Galaxy Watches, so shoppers shouldn’t expect this level of quality, but there are however a huge number of raved about features. Perfect for those who have a tighter budget to stick to.
Amazon says the gadget will last up to two weeks from a single charge, with many reviewers backing this up. You can track your walks, runs and cycles with accurate GPS tracking, with the watch supporting six satellite systems helping you to connect ‘incredibly fast’. You can also download free maps to help you understand what’s around you even while offline.
The smart watch provides mind and body analysis, with it giving you a daily readiness score that updates in real-time throughout the day. It can summarise your mental and physical recovery, and give you guidance on whether to prioritise rest or exercise. The gadget also has Zepp Pay, allowing you to connect up to eight bank cards at a time to your Amazfit Balance to make password-protected contactless payments directly from your wrist.
Over 800 Amazon shoppers have reviewed the Amazfit Balance Smart Watch to date, with it earning a respectable overall score of 4.3 out of five. One thrilled buyer awarded it five stars and commented: “I’ve owned this Amazfit Balance watch for almost a month. It is a replacement for a Series 4 Apple watch. Initial impressions on opening the box was that it looked smart, a much nicer looking face than the familiar square looking alternatives.
“The battery life in my opinion is superb. On average, I get 12 days between charges as opposed to the barely 24 hours from my previous smart watch. I genuinely like this watch over my previous watch. I find it simple to use. As with all products, you absolutely have to take the time to learn it’s capabilities. I bought this watch from Amazon at a fantastic price during a promotion period. It is in my opinion, worth every penny over the more expensive alternatives.”
A second wrote: “I have tried many watches, from Huawei to Fitbit, Samsung to Garmin, and I always find I like some things but not others. I was intrigued by the new Venu 3 but couldn’t justify the price. This watch piqued my curiosity as it had all the features I wanted, at a price I could bear. And it looked great to boot.
“So far, I really like the app. While not quite as detailed as Garmin, it’s really not far off. GPS is fantastic. Locks on immediately and tracks the whole way without any issues on small country tracks with barely any phone signal… The screen is fantastic and very responsive. Best I’ve had yet. Although it’s big it is very slim and fits to the wrist well.”
Sadly one Amazon shopper wasn’t satisfied with the smart watch and had to return it, as they explained: “Very difficult to set up even when you get it connected to the phone. Pairing keeps dropping out, the only way to get it repaired was to factory reset the watch and start from scratch. Before it was sent back it was doing it up to seven times a day.”
Someone else was left ‘disappointed’, as they noted: “I really liked the idea of everything this watch has to offer, but there are a few issues with notifications.”
If you’d like to give the Amazfit Balance Smart Watch a try, you can buy it from Amazon here for £149 while the Black Friday deal is live. Alternatively, John Lewis is currently offering the Apple Watch Series 10 on sale for £379. Included in Decathlon’s Black Friday sale is the Garmin Forerunner 55 GPS Watch now priced at £129.99.
