A young girl was brutally murdered and had her body mutilated after being abducted for a ritual that a couple believed would help the birth of their future child
An eight-year-old girl was brutally murdered before having her eyes gouged out during a sickening “sacrifice” which they thought would help a pregnant woman’s birth.
Police found the young girl’s body was found brutally mutilated on Monday, August 9, and a special investigation team soon arrested four suspects who are thought to have been involved in her abduction and murder.
One of the suspects, identified as Dilip Kumar, is thought to have gone to a man called Pervez Alam, who claims to be a “sorcerer”, after he and his wife had conceived despite several years of unsuccessful pregnancies.
Alam is said to have told the couple in order to avoid a miscarriage, the pregnant woman should wear an amulet consecrated with the blood and the eyes of a virgin girl.
Along with two men, Tanveer Alam and someone only identified as Dasarath, they abducted the young girl from a small village in the Munger district of Bihar in India. The eight-year-old was on her way home alone after innocently delivering lunch to her dad – a local fisherman out working. It comes after boy, 5, is murdered by kidnappers because his mum couldn’t pay £39 ransom.
She was then taken to the men’s chicken farm in the Padham village, where they are said to have performed rituals on her before she was murdered and had her eyes taken out, which were then forged into a necklace and given to the pregnant woman.
According to the Times of India, the police registered the case as a murder and suspected rape after finding certain injuries on the girl. Police Superintendent J.J. Reddy said: “Dilip’s wife had conceived after many unsuccessful years of pregnancy. Hence, he acted on the suggestion of the Tantrik from neighbouring Khagaria district, which led to the gruesome killing of the minor girl.
“The police cracked the case based on evidence. Instructions have been issued to submit the charge sheet in the case at the earliest.”
Local police believe that, with the evidence they found and collected at the scene, the suspects will undergo a swift trial very soon. The news comes as a mother of two in America tried to kill her two small children in an alleged effort to ‘sacrifice her son’.
Ashley Parmeley, 36, of Festus, Missouri, was originally charged with second-degree murder after she walked into the Festus Police Department on May 28 last year, telling police she had killed both her children earlier that day.
Parmeley first tried to kill her 2-year-old son, Isaac, in St Francois County, Missouri and then shot her nine-year-old daughter. She later allegedly realised her son Isaac was still alive and drove north to the Timber Creek Resort, where she is said to have drowned him in a water fountain.
Parmeley is said to have told investigators that she intended to “sacrifice” Isaac before she killed both of the children, although the statement did not elaborate on what exactly Parmeley meant by sacrifice her child.
