Glastonbury Festival bosses issue warning ahead of Kneecap’s controversial performance

By staff28 June 2025No Comments3 Mins Read

Exclusive:

Glastonbury Festival is hosting a performance from Irish rap trio Kneecap later today – ahead of the group’s performance on the West Holts stage at 4pm a warning has been issued

Glastonbury Festival have issued crowd warnings for Kneecap. Bosses sent out a list of what they expect will be their biggest audiences.

They told festival goers: “Kneecap will draw a large audience for their 4pm West Holts show. If you’re not planning to see them, please plan alternative routes around that area. If you do plan to attend, listen to stewards, and please have some other entertainment options in mind in case the field reaches capacity and we need to close it as part of our crowd planning measures.”

They also highlighted Kate Nash who “looks set to draw a big crowd to Left Field at 9pm, so please arrive early if you’re hoping to catch her set.”

They added: “Scissor Sisters will be very busy at Woodsies at 10.30pm. It’s likely we’ll need to close the field once it reaches capacity as part of our crowd planning measures. Charlie XCX will also be popular in our new enlarged Other Stage arena at 10.30pm.”

Festival bosses can work out who are the most popular acts through music fans selecting who they are seeing through the Glastonbury app.

Glastonbury Festival 2025’s Saturday line-up, headliners and set times

Day four of Glastonbury Festival 2025 is in full swing, with hundreds of thousands of revellers keeping the party alive into the weekend.

Saturday’s line-up has a mystery act listed as Patchwork performing from 6.15pm to 7.15pm on the Pyramid Stages. Speculation is rife that it could be anyone from Haim to Pulp to Chappell Roan.

Tonight’s top billing on the Pyramid Stage is expected to be Neil Young and The Chrome Hearts, but there’s been some confusion over whether fans at home will be able to tune in to his performance.

A BBC spokesperson clarified: “On Saturday on BBC iPlayer, our Glastonbury Channel and five streams for the main stages will bring a range of live performances to audiences. At the artist’s request, we won’t be livestreaming Neil Young’s set. Our plans, including those for our TV highlights shows and on-demand coverage, continue to be finalised right up to and during the festival.”

However, RAYE’s performance on the Pyramid Stage from 8pm to 9pm will still be aired as usual, as will Charli XCX’s headline performance on the Other Stage from 10.30pm.

Other big acts playing on Saturday include Doechii, who is headlining the West Holts stage from 10.45pm. Scissors Sisters will make a bit of a comeback appearance when they headline the Woodsies stage from 10.30pm.

Fans can catch Gary Numan and Caribou on The Park stage later today – with a mystery slot from 7.30pm to 8.30pm which looks to be a surprise gig. And indie rock band Hard-Fi take the top spot at Avalon stage from 11.10pm.
