The iconic Glastonbury Festival takes place this week with a whopping 210,000 revellers expected to join the throng down on Worthy Farm. While eager festival fans are already starting to set up camp ahead of the opening acts on Friday, the festival organisers have issued a warning via social media.

On the Glastonbury Festivals Facebook page they urge: “Please don’t bring gazebos to Glastonbury 2025, as they take up valuable tent space.” Campers have also been warned that: “If any do appear people may be politely asked to take them down to free up camping space for others.”

According to the Met Office, festivalgoers can expect a typically British mix of weather, suggesting it could be a very pleasant event with temperatures above the annual average as the heatwave continues. For thousands of festival fans however, the weather down on the farm will not be a problem as they will be watching all the action from home.

Popping up a gazebo in the garden is a great way to enjoy the music, especially given the unpredictable British weather. Perfect for watching on portable devices, it provides protection from the sun during hotter spells, allowing music lovers to enjoy the festival atmosphere without worrying about the elements.

As the summer weather continues, the Outsunny 2 x 2 m Garden Pop Up Gazebo is proving to be a popular purchase from Amazon. Originally on sale for £84.99 it currently has 34% off, now at £55.99.

With a waterproof cover and open sides, the gazebo keeps the weather out while still letting in fresh air and natural light, creating a comfortable and relaxed viewing spot. A gazebo also adds a touch of occasion, decorated with fairy lights, bunting and outdoor cushions, it can recreate the vibe of a Glastonbury tent or chill-out zone.

Enjoy Glastonbury from home as the heat wave continues

For viewing parties and garden get togethers it quickly becomes a social hub where friends and family can gather, stream performances, enjoy drinks and soak up the festival spirit without the mud and crowds.

This pop-up shelter is made from Oxford fabric, offering resistance to light rain and providing protection from heat and UV rays. The powder-coated steel frame is strong but lightweight and ropes and stakes are included to enhance stability.

Measuring 240 x 200 x 200 cms it’s plenty big enough to make a cosy den away from the elements, or cover food and drinks as party guests assemble in the garden. With next day delivery for Prime members, it can up and ready before the weekend.

If the Outsunny Gazebo isn’t quite right, there are plenty of other temporary garden shades to choose from. Wowcher, for example, is selling an Outdoor Garden Gazebo with optional LED lights. Larger in size but without side panels, this shelter has an impressive 75% off with prices starting from £99.

Elsewhere, Debenhams is selling the Costway Gazebo Canopy Tent with Zipped Mesh Side Wall, reduced from £259 to £119.95. The vented design provides protection from the sun while the mesh screens keep insects at bay.

For shoppers in a hurry to pick one up, the Argos Home 3m x 3m Pop Up Garden Gazebo can be ordered as part of their click and collect service. With £50 off at £150, the ‘easy-up’ gazebo has been described as “super sturdy” and “a brilliant buy.”

Shoppers who have already snapped up the Outsunny Gazebo have awarded it a four out of five-star rating on Amazon. One buyer said: “Brilliant gazebo very good quality and very good value ..it’s perfect.”

Another added: “Excellent quality great party tent had garden party everyone loved it.. so easy to put up and take down. Great value too.”

A third shopper who thought it was great, said: “Great quality for a great price. Does well in wind conditions, not extremes but isn’t flimsy like most. Velcro is effective and it fits the bars nice. Very simple and easy to assemble.”

Not all buyers were quite so impressed. One left a three-star review that simply said: “The quality of the material wasn’t as good as I thought it would be, it was easy to erect it though.”

Overall, most buyers agreed that it was a good buy. Another five-star review summed it up saying: “Superb gazebo. Bought it as a blackout for the projector so we could have movie parties. Had to put paper over the windows, but it kept the sun out well and allowed us to see the projector during the day. Great for having friends around for the footy, and big enough for kids parties. Easy to put up and take down too. Perfect.”
