You could spend hours scrolling through Google Street View and marvelling at all the weird and wonderful findings – but this could be one of the best searches yet
When a Google Street View user was casually scrolling through roads in Paris, they stumbled across a bearded man sitting outside a cafe. This isn’t an unusual sight in the French capital, but there was something familiar about him.
The eagle-eyed user is convinced that the ordinary-looking bloke is actually global megastar Post Malone, who is going about his day just like everybody else. To see for yourself, type “330 rue Saint-Honoré, Paris” into Street View and locate the rapper turned country singer.
The person who made the find has been hailed by fans of the chart-topping 30-year-old, who care gobsmacked by the picture. One joked: “The one who found this is greater than Einstein himself.”
Another added: “This is real! I just looked it up! You have to go around the corner of the restaurant!”
Some believe it is Post Malone or at least a person who looks very similar to him, with one suggesting the encounter is nothing short of “hilarious”. They wrote: “That’s actually so hilarious.”
Google Street View is a feature of Google Maps and Google Earth that provides interactive, panoramic photographs of streets and locations around the world.
Using Street View, you can virtually “walk” down streets, look around in 360 degrees, and explore cities, landmarks, and even some indoor locations as if you were there in person.
To capture all the images, it uses special cameras mounted on cars, backpacks, or other devices to capture roads from all angles.
It covers millions of miles of roads in many countries and continues to expand, so you really can fall down a rabbit hole if you start looking through it.
There have been all manner of bonkers finds on Google Street View over the years.
One driver was recently caught making a big blunder at the McDonald’s drive-thru, leaving many in stitches. Meanwhile, it also snapped a picture of a man in a very awkward position.
In other news, you can use the tool to check out some jaw-dropping before and after pictures of landmarks in the UK. It’s great for showing how much has changed!
