With Christmas creeping up, shoppers looking to bring the magic of a full-sized Christmas tree to their living room have been saving space with an offering from Argos. There’s one product which has been described as ‘lush and flush’ that has been praised by shoppers.

The Habitat 6ft Half Christmas Tree, featuring a flat back, is currently priced at £30 at Argos. Weighing 3kg and using the included metal stand, shoppers can place the 6ft tree flat against the wall, saving half the floor space, the brand says.

Made from PVC, with fixed branches, the tree features a total of 398 tips (the number of needles), providing a realistic look that buyers are praising as ‘full and cheerful’. The stand has a 50cm width, and the overall structure is fire retardant.

The base of the tree has a diameter of 91cm. The brand says the tree requires ‘minimal assembly’ and comes with a one-year guarantee.

Alternatively, shoppers could look at B&M’s Geneva Frosted Pre-Lit Christmas Tree 5ft, which is currently priced at £60. With frosted branches and 120 warm LEDs, this artificial tree offers a traditional look but is more manoeuvrable than a 6ft tree.

Dunelm is also offering its 6ft Flocked Christmas Tree, currently priced at £39. This 6ft tree will ‘add a touch of winter magic’ to shoppers’ homes, the brand says, and comes with a metal stand.

Buyers of Argos’ are impressed with the value offered for the features provided. One review said: “I bought this at a reduced price and it has been fantastic value for money. Once you take some time in spreading all the branches out properly and put a decent amount of lights and decorations on, it looks amazing. No more wasted space for the back of the Christmas tree that no one sees! It’s also lighter and easier to store – so if space is at a premium but you still want a tree that looks full and cheerful, I’d definitely recommend this one.”

Another added: “All good. Nice space-saving tree.” While a third said: “I loved this. So perfect, it fit the space and was very full once all the branches were opened. Excellent value for money.”

Not all shoppers felt the same, however. One review said: “I bought this and when it came it was not what I expected and it was very small. I tried sending it back so I could buy a bigger one, but I was told they don’t take returns.”

Another added: “When I opened the box, I was a bit disappointed – I don’t know why. I put it where I thought it would go but didn’t like it, so I moved it to another spot and now I love it.”

The Habitat 6ft Half Christmas Tree can be found at Argos.
