The fisherman was attacked and almost killed off the Imbassai in Brazil. He managed to catch the shark and bring it back to shore despite being injured.
A fisherman claims a deadly shark bit his arm and almost dragged him into the deep during a life-or-death tug-of-war in the ocean.
He had been off the coast of the beach paradise Imbassai in Brazil, when he was grabbed by the jaws of the giant fish. Astonishingly he fought off the razor-toothed predator and even brought it back to the shore. Photos taken after the deadly encounter show the fisherman standing over the shark’s body with a makeshift tourniquet and bandage wrapped around his left forearm.
One witness said: “It almost killed the fisherman there. Look at the guy’s arm wrapped up. It nearly cost the fisherman his life.” There have been no updates on the man’s health condition at the time of writing. Police in Imbassai have not commented on the attack.
Last year a huge shark – described by eyewitnesses as “bigger than a Great White” – was spotted off the British coast, close to where youngsters were swimming.
Holidaymakers idling along in a boat were shocked to come across the huge marine creature near a popular beach in Gwynedd, north Wales, which they say was almost the size of their vessel.
Carmel Richardson, who was in a friend’s speedboat with her family, started recording as they had just past beyond the safe-swimming zone at Abersoch’s Main Beach on the Llŷn Peninsula.
