Heavily pregnant mum and unborn baby both die after mysterious tragedy at home

An inquest was held after a mum was found dead suddenly at the age of 29 – Aliesha Fisher was 30 weeks pregnant at the time of her tragic death in December last year

A mum was tragically discovered dead by her cousin just weeks before she was due to give birth. Aliesha Fisher, who had epilepsy, was found on the floor of her bedroom on December 28 last year, an inquest heard.

Paramedics who attended the property were unable to save the mum, 29, and her unborn baby, named AriaMay, was found without a heartbeat ater she had gone to bed the night before. “She was last seen alive by her family at around 11pm,” Area Coroner Kate Bisset said to Preston Coroner’s Court.

“At around 10am the following morning her cousin woke on the couch and noticed Aliesha was on the floor of her bedroom not moving. Paramedics [confirmed death] shortly afterwards. She was 30 weeks pregnant. The paramedics sadly confirmed no evidence of life from the baby.

“The final inquest will consider the cause of death and what led to the tragic loss of this young woman and her unborn baby. There is no suggestion of self-harm or any deliberate causes of this baby’s death.”

The final inquest is set to be held on July 16. An inquest into Aliesha’s daughter is not necessary due to the child not being born alive.

Aliesha’s heartbroken family is now raising money in her memory, LancsLive reported. The grieving relatives said a tribute on muchloved.com is an ode to “Aliesha Fisher and AriaMay Wright”.

“Aliesha is much loved and will always be remembered,” they said “Together forever.”

The family is raising funds for Epilepsy Action. Harvinder Chaggar from the charity posted: “We are so sorry for your loss and are thinking of you as you remember Aliesha.

“We hope that your page helps to bring some comfort at this difficult time. Thank you so much for your kind support and please let us know if we can do anything to help.”

One person wrote on the page: “Love and miss you so much. Life really ain’t the same anymore. Just sit and wait for you to message me ranting on about something”

They added: “I hope you are surrounded by love and laughter Aliesha. I hope you’re making sure everything is still in check and you have the final say. I will see you again someday. Until then. You sleep tight and finally sleep peacefully. I love you forever and a day.”

Another wrote: “Still can’t believe your gone too soon. I think of you both all the time and hope your in a better place than down here. You both were so precious and always will be huge hugs today tomorrow and always.”
