Helen Flanagan is reportedly using the celebrity dating app Raya in a bid to find love again following her ‘grown up’ split from ex boyfriend Rob Talbot after a year of dating
Just three months after her split from Rob Talbot, Helen Flanagan has decided to put her past relationship to the back of her mind as she joins celebrity dating app, Raya. The mum of three, who had in a relationship with the father of two for a year, has reportedly created an account on the notorious app that is favoured by celebs due to its strict rules and vetting process.
Helen called time on her year long romance with Rob in May as it’s believed she struggled to juggle work projects, motherhood and their relationship.
According to The Sun, her profile pictures for the app have been taken from her seductive shoot with OK! magazine.
In the pictures, she is seen posing in a sheer knit dress which draped over a green coloured swimsuit.
In another picture, she is seen flaunting her enviable physique in a blue bikini.
Helen, 35, appears to be following in the footsteps of other celebrities including Lily Allen, presenter Gethin Jones and Dawson’s Creek actor Joshua Jackson.
A source told The Sun at the time of the couple’s split: “They want different things in life. She has just landed a new acting job and is trying to juggle work projects with the kids. She sat him down two weeks ago and said, ‘This isn’t working’… She just wants to be on her own for a while although she still has feelings for him.”
However, weeks earlier, the TV star who shot to fame playing Rosie in Coronation Street, revealed that she had asked Rob to move out of the home she shares with her children.
Helen and her footballer ex Scott Sinclair split in 2022 after a 13 year relationship.
The couple are parents to Matilda, nine, Delilah, six and Charlie, four.
Speaking to The Sun she explained that she asked Rob to stay with her as she felt safe having a man around the house. But she soon realised that it was having an impact on her eldest daughter who she describes as a “proper daddy’s girl.”
Speaking fondly of her relationship with Rob while on the Daily Mail’s The Life of Bryony podcast in March, she said Rob wooed her with his humour.
She explained: “He’s lovely. Everybody loves him. I just met him at a bar. I literally, I just, I could not stop laughing at this guy. My boyfriend’s actually the funniest guy I’ve ever met. He’s got two kids and he’s, he’s really beautiful with my children.”
She added: “I think that’s what made me fall more in love with him because he’s so good with my mental health things and that’s the main thing for me that I need.”
Helen continued: “I need someone that’s good for me mentally and emotionally, that’s my top thing and that’s what I’ve realised. No disrespect to the father of my children, I’ll always have that love for him, but he didn’t know how to cope with me or didn’t know how to do that, and not everybody does, but because the man that I’m with now really knows how to do that, it makes me happy.”
The Mirror has contacted Helen’s reps for a comment.
