A Hollywood actress is reportedly set to sat in a spin-off series of the James Bond franchise following its Amazon takeover
Hollywood icon Florence Pugh is reportedly set to take on a huge role in the James Bond spin-off series for Amazon.
Amazon MGM Studios recently agreed on a shock deal with the Broccoli family behind the James Bond franchise and producer Michael Wilson to take over the creative rights of the iconic movies. Broccoli and Wilson will remain co-owners of the long-running franchise much to the delight of fans.
In a statement, it was announced that Barbara and Michael will “remain co-owners of the franchise” but Amazon MGM Studios will gain “creative control.” Amid the new change, it has been said that We Live In Time star Florence could be playing Miss Moneypenny in a TV spin-off of the franchise.
Miss Moneypenny was most recently played by Naomie Harris in No Time To Die alongside Daniel Craig. According to reports, the Amazon series could be based on the books, called The Moneypenny Diaries, which is set in the 50s and 60s.

With the announcement of Amazon’s takeover of the franchise came statements from producer Michael and Barbara Broccoli. Michael, 83, said: “With my 007 career spanning nearly 60 incredible years, I am stepping back from producing the James Bond films to focus on art and charitable projects. Therefore, Barbara and I agree, it is time for our trusted partner, Amazon MGM Studios, to lead James Bond into the future.”
Barbara added: “My life has been dedicated to maintaining and building upon the extraordinary legacy that was handed to Michael and me by our father, producer Cubby Broccoli. I have had the honour of working closely with four of the tremendously talented actors who have played 007 and thousands of wonderful artists within the industry.
