Horror moment kid is carried off in jaws of stray dog pack as he plays by house

By staff14 July 2025No Comments3 Mins Read

A shocking video has shown the moment a brave mum fought off a pack of stray dogs who pounced on her little child, named Anik, in India. They carried the boy away before she caught up

Shocking footage has captured the moment a pack of dogs attacked a toddler in front of his horrified mother.

The mother and her five year-old son were walking down the street in the town of Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh, India, when the stray dogs appeared. In the CCTV video, the boy, named Anik, was pounced on by the animals before they picked him up with their teeth.

But as they tried to take him away, his mother fought back as she tried to tug him out of one of the dog’s mouth. One dog grabbed the boy by his ankle, whilst another grabbed him by the arms.

In the footage however, after a few seconds, the dogs appear to be cooperating with each other and begin to drag terrified Anik away down the road. Four dogs could be seen in the clip before a neighbour heard the scuffle and came over to help.

Eventually, the boy’s mum was able to scoop him up in her arms and ran towards their home. According to local media, the boy was hospitalised with 18 deep bite wounds. He is still recovering from the ordeal on July 7., reports Daily Goat.

Last year, a mother had to wrestle a dog after he pounced on her two-year-old child in East Delhi, India. The dangerous animal bit the toddler while he was out for a walk with his mum in Vishwas Nagar Neighbourhood. The mum and son dropped to the floor as the dog continued its attack.

The dog was eventually dragged away from the young boy who was pulled into a nearby home to safety, on January 24. A local source said: “Although onlookers tried to pull the dog away from the area and stop more damage, the animal was uncooperative.

“The event has rekindled conversations about ethical pet ownership and the need to raise awareness of the risks that uncontrolled animals in public places may pose. There is a fresh focus on the significance of upholding pet control laws and encouraging a safer environment for all inhabitants as the community struggles to recover from this horrific occurrence.”
