The three bedroom home in Abergwynfi, Port Talbot, features beautiful views, a spacious lounge, a rear garden – and a bizarre toilet standing at the foot of a bed
A house on the market boasts a bizarre toilet standing at the foot of the bed, leaving property buyers unable to believe their eyes.
The three bedroom home in Abergwynfi, Port Talbot in Wales looks as though it needs a renovation and a bit of TLC from a developer. The property is on the market for £90,000 but among its features is the loo standing feet away from the bed in the master bedroom.
Potential buyers will probably have some plumbing work to do to move the toilet to a more private location. Agents for the house describe the home as “an ideal first time buy or investment.”
Peter Alan says: “A three story, semi-detached property on offer for sale with no on-going chain.
“Benefiting from three bedrooms plus an attic room, beautiful views, a spacious lounge and a rear garden with a garage. Situated within the quiet, semi-rural Village of Abergwynfi with walking and biking routes, schools, public transport links and shops all within close proximity.
“Internally the property comprises of an entrance porch, a hallway and a spacious lounge to the ground floor. To the first floor there are three bedrooms with stairs leading to the attic room and the basement level features a kitchen, shower room and WC.”
House hunters were a little turned off by the added loo. One said: “I have literal nightmares about being in rooms like this.”
Another replied: “On the plus side, you wouldn’t have to get out of bed to pee.” Another answered: “Yes, no problem with that famous splash resistant carpet.”
Another added: “Now this is en suite!” one said, while another replied to the joke: “That’s not en suite, that’s IN suite.”
Another joked: “We see this kind of thing so often on here, I am starting to worry in case it is normal, and I am the weird one.”
But another explained it could have had a necessary use for the previous owner. They said: “It’s for elderly people with mobility issues instead of having a commode. It’s easy to take out when the old person dies and much nicer than a commode.”
