Virginia Giuffre, 41, took her own life at her farm near Neergabby in Western Australia, and in the months before her death struggled as her family ‘life imploded’, sources say
The life of tragic sex abuse survivor Virginia Giuffre “imploded” in the months before her suicide this weekend, according to a source.
The 41-year-old took her own life on Friday at her farm in Western Australia after years of fighting to bring the rich and powerful who she said abused her through Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell to justice. Paramedics rushed to her home and provided emergency first aid at around 9.50pm but they were unable to revive the mother-of-three. She was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Police confirmed her death was being investigated but was considered “not suspicious”.
Weeks before her death, Ms Giuffre posted a picture from a hospital bed showing her injured after an apparent car crash, after which she claimed she had only four days to live. She is also said to have recently split from her husband of two decades, Robert Giuffre.
Compounding the situation, she became estranged from their three teenage children – two sons and a daughter. Until recently, the family had been living an idyllic and quiet life in a £1million seaside six-bedroomed home in Ocean Reef, Perth.
Last night a source told MailOnline: “Virginia’s life imploded in recent months. Her marriage broke down and she was in severe physical and mental pain.
“She had been taking prescription pain pills since she was with Epstein. She has not seen her kids since her husband filed a restraining order earlier this year.
“She was concerned about all the things being said about her. But her main worry was not being able to see her children. That was what broke her.”
In recent weeks, she appeared to be struggling to cope without her children. In a post on March 22, she wrote: “My beautiful babies have no clue how much I love them and they’re being poisoned with lies. I miss them so very much.
“I have been through hell and back in my 41 years but this is incredibly hurting me worse than anything else. Hurt me, abuse me but don’t take my babies. My heart is shattered and every day that passes my sadness only deepens.”
Virginia was sex trafficked by billionaire paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, with his associate Ghislaine Maxwell recruiting her when she was a 16-year-old locker room attendant working at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida.
She claims she was forced to have sex with Prince Andrew on at least three occasions when she was 17, including while at Maxwell’s infamous London townhouse. The Duke of York vehemently denies these claims.
