For those keen to up their daily calorie burn, a smartwatch is an essential gadget. Far more than just a timepiece, these wrist-worn accessories can track workouts and offer unprecedented insights into our health and fitness.

With plenty of options on the market from tech giants like Apple and Samsung, consumers are spoilt for choice. However, these powerful devices often come with hefty price tags.

Thankfully, there are more wallet-friendly alternatives available, such as this Huawei model. It costs £29.99 to buy from Argos, but a little-known deal drops the price to less than £15 with TopCashback.

It’s all thanks to the £15 cashback shoppers get when they buy something through the deals site links above £15, like the £29.99 Huawei Smart Watch. The Huawei Band 9 sports a sleek, rectangular design that closely resembles a traditional watch – it could easily be mistaken for one at first glance.

Despite its slim profile it’s brimming with technology which accurately tracks wearers daily movements, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Compatible with both Android and Apple phones, this band features a 3.7cm AMOLED screen that’s bright enough for outdoor viewing. Plus, it’s incredibly lightweight, with the strap weighing in at just 14 grams.

In terms of functionality, the watch comes pre-installed with a variety of sports activities to monitor, such as running, cycling, swimming, hiking, and many more. A heart rate sensor records your heartbeat during these activities, relaying the data to your preferred health app for later analysis.

Additionally, the Huawei watch keeps tabs on the wearer’s total step count and monitors their sleep pattern. It can offer valuable insights into various aspects of your health, aiding in making informed decisions about your activity levels.

However, it’s worth noting that this smartwatch lacks a GPS sensor. This could be a deal-breaker for those who enjoy uploading their activities to apps like Strava or Komoot.

An alternative that does include a GPS sensor is the AMAZFIT Bip 6. Priced at £68.99, it offers turn-by-turn directions with map navigation and is fully water-resistant for swimming.

The recently launched Nothing Watch Pro 3 also features a built-in GPS tracker along with some impressive AI capabilities. Users can utilise it to make calls with AI noise cancellation to drown out ambient sounds, but it carries a price tag of £99.

The Huawei watch has garnered an impressive 4.6-star rating from 202 reviews, with one customer sharing: “Bought this for my daughter as a present. Lovely watch, she’s had a different brand of smart watch for the past two years and said that the new one she has now is much better, she describes it as light weight, easy to use and not as chunky as some of the other ones.”

Another satisfied buyer left a glowing five-star review, stating: “This was my first smart watch I’ve ever had and really pleased with it. The battery lasts a long time, I’ve had it about two weeks now and still not had to charge it yet.

“Would definitely buy again if ever wanted one again.” A third happy customer remarked: “Bought this a few weeks ago when my Fitbit stopped working. Battery life is great charge lasts a week and when needs charging does not take long.

“Has all the same information as most of the higher-priced models and a clearer screen.” Not all feedback was positive, with one shopper reporting connectivity issues: “Lovely looking watch, unfortunately, l was unable to connect with my phone,”.

Issues were also noted by another user regarding the step tracker: “I liked the functions on the watch apart from the pedometer which didn’t appear to work.”
