‘I bought a £4 Too Good To Go Bag and got surprise when I looked inside’

By staff29 September 2025No Comments3 Mins Read

A woman has shared her delight after picking up a £3.99 Too Good To Go bag from Morrisons – and says she’s now set for lunches for the entire week and can’t stop smiling

Buying a Too Good To Go bag not only allows you to feed your family on pennies – but it also helps to reduce food waste. And one woman couldn’t hide her excitement after spending just £3.99 on a Morrisons Too Good To Go bag, saying it’s “might be her best grocery haul to date”.

In a TikTok video, the shopper, who is known as DanynaDoes on social media, showed herself collecting the bag from a Morrisons in Scotland before opening it on camera. In her caption, she wrote: “This is not a drill… genuinely think this might be my best grocery haul to date! What do you think? I grabbed a TGTG bag from Morrisons today and just wait till you see what was inside!”

First, she pulled out a gluten-free garlic chicken kievs and commented on how she used to leave seeing them served up on her plate as a child.

After this, she shared her delight after seeing a chicken katsu curry from Yo Sushi included in the bag.

With these two items alone, she’d already made her money back but she continued to pull items out of the bag including a snack attack, coleslaw, 22 mini chicken tikka pakoras, and four Indian-style lamp chops.

She said: “Is this the best Too Good To Go grocery haul to date because I’m going to say so. Can’t wait for my dinner.”

Commenting on her post, one user said: “Bakery one is great by the way. Plus can get them for £1.99.” Another user added: “Lamb is so expensive on its own.”

A third user said: “These are amazing but too bad they don’t do a vegetarian/halal option.”

One more user added: “I got a birthday cake I’m my last bag from Morrisons.”

Another user said: “When I had a Morrisons one it was all out of date by two or three days. Food was rock hard. The bread went mouldy the next day. Put me off massively.”

A final user added: “You’re well stocked for yummy dinners.”

To get your own Too Good To Go bag, download their app and scroll through the nearby stores participating in the scheme.

You can ‘reserve’ bags before collecting them to save disappointment when arriving at your chosen store.

All bags contain items that would have otherwise ended up in the bin due to their sell-by dates – with most costing around £2 to £5, depending on what store you select.
