Lyndsey Kelly, 45, decided to change her lifestyle when the scales tipped 13st 1lb
A mum has revealed how she turned back the clock by a decade after ditching unhealthy habits and embracing fitness – and now feels incredible showing off her bikini body.
Lyndsey Kelly, 45, from Bolton, used to spend her summers eating greasy takeaways and could “easily drink a bottle of red” – or even two – over the weekend. But after changing her lifestyle, she’s stunned friends and family with her transformation, with people telling her she “looks 10 years younger.”
“I couldn’t walk up a set of stairs without feeling out of breath,” Lyndsey admits. The turning point came when her weight reached 13st 1lb.

That’s when the machine operator and content creator, who now has more than 10,500 Instagram followers (@lynds.lifts), decided it was time for a change.
Fast forward, and Lyndsey has lost four stone and is now a self-confessed fitness fanatic. With sculpted muscles from her “off-season bulk,” she feels healthier and happier than ever and wants to share her journey to inspire other women.
“A lot of women think you’ll end up looking like a man if you lift heavy weights,” she says. “I’m proof that this really isn’t true.”
Before her transformation, Lyndsey says she felt decades older than her years. “I lost nearly four stone after feeling like I was in my 70s – I had no energy to move.
“I loved loading my plate and would enjoy at least one kebab and chips or KFC every week. I could easily drink a bottle of red wine or a few gin and tonics on Fridays and Saturdays.
“I felt ashamed of my health and could barely play with my boy.”
Determined to feel better, she joined the gym and began lifting weights four to five times a week. Now, she says she’s never felt stronger:
“Now, I’m a muscle mummy – and I love it. It feels incredible to flaunt my figure in a bikini, but more importantly, I have so much more energy for life.
“I recently did a photo shoot, and it felt amazing to finally be proud of my body. Plus, people say I look years, even a decade younger.”
