A tourist visiting London, who lodged in the city’s “smallest hotel”, claims you “won’t believe” the price as he shared a review of the accommodation on social media. Callum Ryan chronicled his journey to Piccadilly in the City of Westminster where he spent the night in a minuscule capsule.

“This could be the best capsule hotel in the city,” he proclaimed, sharing footage of himself clambering into his tiny lodgings. Equipped with a bed, pillow and light, Callum detailed: “This is Piccadilly Hostel located right in the heart of Central London with hundreds of capsule hotel room inside – right on Piccadilly Circus.”

Callum expressed that after checking in and finding his room, what greeted him was “much better than he expected” considering the cost.

“Look how cool it looks,” he praised, before highlighting the pod’s additional features such as a fan, a dimmable light switch and a plug socket fitted with USB slots to support charging mobile phones.

Continuing his review, Callum said: “The bed was surprisingly comfy and even though the place is very small, it’s just enough room to spend the night.”

He further described the “impressive” communal bathroom and shower facilities, included in the price, adding: “They were really clean.”

As for the cost? Callum revealed: “For only £24 a night it is a really cheap place to stay in Central London. So I’d highly recommend you give it a try.”

His followers didn’t hesitate to commend the “bargain” he’d found, meanwhile. One quipped: “£720 for the month, I’m staying there from now on.” A second person declared: “£24 a night for a clean bed in Piccadilly Circus, what a bargain.”

Whilst a third TikTok user hailed: “That’s actually pretty banging. If you had a late concert or something that’s such a better option than trying to navigate your way home at 2am.”

However, some shared their fears of feeling claustrophobic, with one person confessing: “And this is how to give someone a panic attack.” And another commented: “Oh no! That’s like a coffin I’d be ill.”

The Coventry Street hostel’s online description by Hotels of London notes: “The British Museum is situated 18 minutes’ walk from Piccadilly Hostel London, and Tower Bridge is 3.8 km away.

“In addition, The Criterion Theatre is located 150 metres away. Also, this hostel is within 20 minutes’ walk of the huge Coca-Cola London Eye Observation Wheel.

It also states that Angus Steakhouse, offering European dishes, is just around 5 minutes’ walk away. And the nearest underground station, Piccadilly Circus, is only 350 metres from the hostel.

Each room spans 2 m2 and comes with complimentary WiFi access. It sounds very snug, that’s for sure!
