‘I tried Domino’s new Indian menu – one thing stood out straight away’

By staff24 September 2025No Comments3 Mins Read

Domino’s have launched two brand new pizzas and a side after combining two of the nations favourite takeaways in one – and Mirror writer Niamh Kirk decided to give them a try

The UK’s favourite pizza delivery chain has launched two brand new pizza flavours – and they’re like nothing you will have ever seen before.

With pizza being one of the nation’s favourite takeaways, as well as Indian food, Domino’s have combined the two in a brand new twist.

The new pizza’s are inspired by Indian cuisine and according to Domino’s, a third of Brits eat Indian food once a week, and the UK’s national dish even being a Chicken Tikka Masala. The two new pizzas are the Ultimate Gunpowder Chicken Pizza and the Ultimate Masala Paneer Pizza.

There is also a brand new side of Domino’s new Ultimate Gunpowder wings too, giving hungry diners a true feast – and with this in mind, I knew I simply had to try for myself.

I do enjoy Indian food, and I do like a Domino’s so I was keen to see how well they paired together. Usually I opt for a chicken feast pizza, so this wasn’t too outlandish – and I was intrigued to see how the spices worked and blended together on a pizza.

The Gunpowder chicken pizza is topped with slow-cooked chicken thigh, seasoned with green chilli, cumin and coriander and comes with mouth-watering jalapeños too.

While the paneer one features chunks of paneer have been marinated in a tikka Methi paste, before being roasted, and scattered alongside green and red peppers, green jalapenos, red onion and mozzarella, on a bed of Domino’s tomato sauce base.

I didn’t know what to expect, but it’s safe to say on the chicken pizza was absolutely delicious. Domino’s have nailed the flavours, as I really did get the Indian fusion from the spices. The crunchy peppers and jalapenos brought the heat and I really enjoyed it. It’s spicy, but in the right way and not too overpowering which I liked.

When it came to the paneer one, I can’t say I enjoyed it as much, as it didn’t pack as much of a punch as the chicken one. The paneer was soft and creamy, but I didn’t really get much of the true Indian spices on this one. It was still tasty, but I feel like it’s just a different type of cheesy pizza.

When it came to the wings, they were definitely well seasoned, juicy and hit the mark when it came to the flavours. I really enjoyed the wings and would definitely recommend to all chicken wing lovers.

Overall I think this is a great concept, and you can really switch up your pizza game with these new flavours. I’m not sure they have drawn me completely away from my go to Chicken Feast, but it’s definitely worth trying if you like the spices and flavours from Indian cuisine.
