When bills are high as is the cost of living, saving money where we can is essential and this charity shop is selling all items for just £1

Every now and then you may find your wardrobe is spilling over with clothes you just don’t wear anymore, or your house is filled with toys and homeware items that never gets used. Having a good sort out is the perfect way to organise your home, help you see what you have, plus unwanted items can go to someone who really wants it.

While many people use apps like Depop, eBay and Vinted, where they can make some cash for their unwanted items, many enjoy donating them to second-hand outlets and charity shops. However, one thrifty woman insists that many people are missing out on even cheaper items than those found in classic charity shops.

Trusted online thrift lover Becky, better known as Becky’s Bazaar and boats over 330,000 Instagram followers, recently shared that she managed to find a charity shop filled with £1 items.

She discovered a Sue Ryder shop in St Helens, Merseyside, that “gives clothes a second chance” if they don’t sell in the regular Sue Ryder shops after two weeks.

“It’s so cool that all of these clothes are given a second chance,” Becky said.

Explaining the experience in more detail, the money-savvy woman said: “Everything in this charity shop is £1, let’s go in and see what we can find.

“So this shop is basically an outlet charity shop for all the Sue Ryders in the area. This means that in those main charity shops whatever doesn’t sell within two weeks gets sent to here to be sold for £1. The clothes even have their original price tag on them.”

She found some White Stuff trousers that were reduced from £7.25 to £1, a brand new Primark jumper worth £15 that was also priced at a £1, as well some great tops, sweatshirts, office wear, accessories, toys and more.

Becky added: “This is basically a second chance for all the clothes and for £1 you’re bound to find a bargain.

“Every time I come in here I always have a handful of stuff.”

She noted that people might think that these items are clothes that people don’t want, but actually “you’d be surprised”.

“It’s my fave,” commented one individual who loves visiting the spot. “Looks decent,” said another.

Another shared their experience and said: “Love this shop, lovely staff that work here, I’ve had some gorgeous clothes nothing ever pot noodle stained even if it was there’s things called washing machines.”
