‘I was forced to watch my wife be gang raped by seven men – it was three hours of hell’

By staff18 October 2025No Comments4 Mins Read

Vicente Gonzalez and his wife Fernanda were documenting their global motorcycle adventure and were en route to Nepal from India on separate bikes when they were attacked

The husband of a travel influencer endured three hours of hell as he was forced to watch a gang of seven men horrifically rape his wife.

Vicente, 63, and his wife Fernanda Gonzalez, 28, who have over 300,000 Instagram followers, had been motorbiking around the world together and were documenting their journey online. The couple were travelling to Nepal from India on separate bikes when the terrifying incident took place in 2024.

They had stopped for the night in Dumka district, situated in India’s Jharkhand, where they set up camp before allegedly being found by a gang of men who sexually attacked Fernanda. In footage filmed outside an Indian hospital, Vicente revealed the injuries they suffered, with Fernanda displaying obvious facial bruising.

She claimed they were also robbed but said “their only intention was to rape her”. The influencers posted a video describing their terrifying ordeal after they had pitched camp for the night during their trip to the Nepal border.

“Something has happened to us that we would not wish on anyone. Seven men have raped me, they have beaten us and robbed us, although not many things, because what they wanted was to rape me,” read the caption on one video, which showed Fernanda’s bruised face.

“My face looks like this, but it’s not what hurts me the most,” she shared in one post, “Thank God we are alive”.

“They beat us,” Vicente continued. “They put a knife to my neck, and told me they were going to kill me. Fernanda was raped. Seven of them. Seven men.”

Vicente shared more chilling details in a video and said it was the most horrific three hours of their lives. “If all started at around 8pm and ended at 11 pm,” he recalled.

“I didn’t know what I was going to do, I thought Fernanda was dead. But she was there in the bushes and suddenly I saw her appear, it gave me a joy that you can’t even imagine. I got up and ran towards her, with my hands tied behind.”

He added: “Seven guys raped her several times, they hit her. They hit me with a helmet several times, kicked me, assaulted me with stones.”

The couple also explained in the video how they had an earlier interaction with some men during broad daylight, two of which were the ones who raped Fernanda later that day. Vicente said a man approached Fernanda while she had been eating peanuts and proceeded to take some without asking.

After the bizarre encounter, the pair departed the area for a few hours before returning, assuming they would be alone. “We are now returning to the place we saw previously to camp. We believe that there will no longer be anyone, at least that is what we hope,” Fernanda had said in a video.

She added: “If I were travelling alone, I don’t think I would camp out.”

Sharing their decision to camp overnight, Vicente explained: “Driving in India is really dangerous but at night chances of having an accident increase significantly, that was one reason why we decided to camp.”

Three suspects were subsequently charged by the authorities for taking turns to rape Fernanda. The assailants allegedly used a helmet and a stone to beat Vicente, leaving his “mouth destroyed”.

“We have formed a team to hunt the remaining suspects,” declared Pitamber Singh Kherwar, a high-ranking local police officer. “We have to ensure strict punishment.”

The bloggers were taken into protective custody. “We have given compensation of one million rupees. We are conducting a thorough investigation and will try to ensure a speedy trial and conviction,” said Anjaneyulu Dodde, deputy commissioner of Dumku.

The couple returned to Spain and expressed their intention to continue their journey at a later date. “We will leave the bikes in Nepal. We want to rest and be with our family. Then, when Fernanda is fully recovered, we will continue our tour of Asia. We want to finish in New Zealand.”
