We all need some time recharge in-between our busy lives, and one genius travel lover has come up with the ultimate way to enjoy plenty of holidays throughout the year
A travel lover has stunned people with how she is able to juggle working a corporate job with plenty of travel – and insists you can do the same.
Most of our lives are catered around our work schedules. Whether you have to work shifts, over weekends, or struggle to see people during the regular 9-5 week, it can be hard to have a good work-life balance. We all can go through periods of burn out, so taking holiday days where you can is important for your wellbeing.
Of course, the reality is that most of us are limited to a certain amount of holiday days or hours, and some may find it hard to book time off work during certain seasons. Employees who work a five-day week are usually entitled to at least 28 days’ paid annual leave – equivalent to 5.6 weeks of holiday – and often ensure time off must be pre-approved.
Travel content creator Jazz, who shares her top tips on destinations to travel to plus hotels and flight hacks, is often asked how she is able to travel so much and also have a full time job. She has shared her ultimate tips.
Jazz, who works in the tech industry, insists that maximising bank holidays and weekends is essential. “Travel strategically, it’s so important – that way you get more out of not taking off so much annual leave,” she explained.
She also advises people get a job that allows them to work remotely and from another country. She added: “My company has a policy that I can work anywhere in the world, for a certain amount of time.
“So when I travel, I’m allowed to work there – that is amazing. Not all companies do this but this is something that was crucial to me when I was getting my particular role.”
“That means I can maximise my Bank Holidays and work abroad,” she added.
She also says saving is essential if you want to travel a lot. Jazz explained: “Saving for holidays is really important – having separate money pot and putting your money from your 9-5 is important or a cash ISA or something like that is important.”
“Travelling a lot and having a 9-5 is not easy but if I can do it, you can do it,” she added.
A number of people agreed with Jazz as one said: “Remote working for the win.” “Thank you for this,” added another. One other added: “Really good advice. Love it.”
Another noted: “Good info. Unfortunately travel on weekends is often a lot more expensive so it’s weighing up the cost vs the time.”
