A 35-year-old influencer has revealed her top skincare products from Boots that keep her skin soft and smooth and have followers wondering how she looks so young
In today’s world, when we’re bombarded with TikTok adverts and endless recommendations for new skincare items, it can be difficult to know exactly what we should be using.
In the last few years, skincare has become more popular than ever with trends like the ‘clean girl aesthetic’ and ‘preventative skincare’ cycling through social media, and influencers showing off routines with as many as 15 to 20 products.
One influencer who takes a “less is more approach to beauty” has revealed the high street products she uses which have left her skin so soft and smooth, people have accused her of getting cosmetic work done.
Bambi, 35, who is known as @bambidoesbeauty to her more than 627,000 TikTok followers, shared her recommendations for anyone wanting perfect skin, without having to break the bank with luxury products.
The first item the TikTok star recommends is the Anua PDRN Hyaluronic Acid Capsule 100 Serum, which is priced at £20 for 30ml. She explained: “I’m yet to try a serum that makes my skin softer than this, I’ve gone through so many bottles of it.” Bambi added: “If you think hyaluronic acid doesn’t work for you – try this and thank me later.”
Next, she uses the Nip+Fab Peptide Fix Finishing Oil 2%, which costs £29.95 for 30ml. Bambi said she adds a “few drops” into her moisturiser and explained it will change the texture of your skin from “rough and wrinkled to smooth and plump”. She added it “doesn’t feel heavy” and doesn’t break her out.
The La Roche-Posay Hyalu B5 Aquagel SPF30 is also one of Bambi’s go-to skin products, and it costs £39.90 for 50ml. She told followers: “If people can’t see their reflection in your forehead after applying this feel free to invoice me … You know when products say they’ll give you glass skin. This gives you glass skin.”
However, she did say that the product can sting the eyes if applied too closely, and it also has a higher price point.
Also on Bambi’s list is the Avène Cicalfate+ Restorative Protective Cream for Very Sensitive Skin, which is £10 for 40ml. This product is “glowy skin in a tube” she said, adding: “The cheat code to glowy, youthful skin is £10 and you can apply it in 0.2 seconds.”
Finally, she recommends the Beauty of Joseon Revive Eye Serum : Ginseng + Retinal, which comes in a pink 30ml tube for £15. Bambi said: “Ginseng and retinol = 10/10 combo for brightening and plumping under eye.”
When asked by a follower if she used the products every day, Bambi said: “I switch products out a lot (because I have to test lots) but these are used very often and I always come back to them.”
