I’m A Celebrity’s Jane Moore, who was voted out of the jungle, opened up about her secret conversation with Dean McCullough
I’m A Celebrity’s Jane Moore opened up about the secret conversation she had with Dean McCullough after he worried about being ‘too much’.
The Loose Women star lost the public vote and had to leave her campmates and the Australian jungle. She described her time in the jungle as “such a weird and magical experience” after leaving it on Friday. Whilst discussing her departure, Jane appeared to take a swipe at some of her co-stars, with her saying: “Hard work doesn’t get rewarded.”
Dean, a divisive figure in the jungle, has been voted to take part in the majority of the Bushtucker Trials and usually performs badly on them. Many fans recently hit out at him when he hid his campmate’s crumpets for a ‘prank’, with viewers calling him an ‘attention seeker’.
After leaving the jungle, Jane revealed she had a secret conversation with Dean as she praised the ‘entertaining’ star. She said: “Dean is an absolute powerhouse of positivity. He’s funny, he’s entertaining, he’s caring. But most of all, he’s himself. In a quiet moment I had with him at some point, he said he got badly bullied at school.”
“And he said to me, ‘I sometimes worry that people think I’m too much’,” she continued to The Sun. “And I said to him, ‘You must never feel that. That’s their problem, not yours’. He’s he’s a really special person, Dean.”
Dean has riled up some of his campmates over the last two weeks. Former boxer Barry McGuigan was less than complimentary over the 32-year-old. After he finished one of the challenges, he vented to the Bush Telegraph about his behaviour, ranting: “He screams, he shouts and he’s overdramatic.”
Even Dean’s colleague, Radio 2 host Greg James, has had a pop at him after watching an episode last week. It came after Alan had attempted to gently wake Dean, who snapped: “You need to give me a minute. Listen to me, if you’re gonna wake me up, you need to give me a minute. No, no, you listen to me. You need to give me a minute, OK?”
Greg was shocked that Dean would speak to gentle soap star Alan so abruptly, saying: “Don’t have a go at Tyrone.” He explained to listeners that seeing Dean snap at Alan was as bad as having a go at Paddington Bear. He said: “It’s like having a go at Paddington, one of the most beloved creations ever. He’s got plenty of time to redeem himself though.”
