Fitness coach Lizzy High, known as lizbitesback on Instagram, boasts a huge following online and has shared her top tips to help people lose weight without going to extremes
You don’t have to go to extremes to lose weight – and one fitness coach is on a mission to prove it.
Lizzy High, who’s known on Instagram as lizbitesback, dishes out invaluable health advice that has earned her widespread acclaim. She’s recently shared some tips on how you can trim down without feeling tied down by excessive restrictions.
In one of her latest posts, Lizzy publicly shared that little tweaks in her day-to-day routine paved the way to slimming success. By ramping up her daily steps by 2,000 to 3,000, and sticking to her strength training, she started to see the fat melt away.
Creatine aided her with muscle maintenance, and she also focused on “mindful eating”. She avoided snacking for no apparent reason, and tightened up her meals.
Her plan included staying within a 200 to 300kcal deficit, and then switching to a reverse diet to keep the fat loss at bay. Instead of focusing on cutting down, she enhanced her diet with foods that could plump up the volume of her meals without piling on the pounds.
Lizzy wrote: “That’s literally it. You don’t need to overcomplicate it or be extreme. I’m still eating all the foods I love.
“I’m still going out eating and drinking. I just prioritised my nutrition, steps and workouts 100% around it. You don’t need to be extreme, you just need to be consistent.”
Lots of people enjoyed reading her story, and the post garnered upwards of 3,000 likes. Her followers quickly started sharing their own experiences and insights in the comments section.
One said: “It’s so simple but so hard at the same time!” Another person chimed in with praise, saying: “The perfect example.”
Meanwhile, a third commenter revealed their personal battle, adding: “How long did it take you? I’m really struggling with being ‘skinny fat’, and with losing fat.”
Lizzy also offered people a little more guidance as to what could aid them on their health journeys. She encouraged people to whip up healthier versions of their favourite meals to ensure that no one feels like they’re missing out.
Making simple food swaps will also help you on your way to success. When it comes to workouts, Lizzy said the key is a structured routine to keep muscle mass in check.
Not to mention, you don’t have to worry about missing social events. She said it’s important to enjoy life, so just plan your regime around it.
