From Star Wars to Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings and Disney, Amazon is offering big discounts on a variety of Lego sets

Being a Lego fanatic can be a costly hobby, with some sets costing hundreds of pounds. Black Friday is our Christmas Day, with many retailers, including Amazon, offering huge discounts on a variety of sets that are perfect for gifting ourselves and loved ones.

From Star Wars to Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings to Disney, the online giant has included many stunning sets in its Black Friday extravaganza. With up to 45% off, there are some great deals waiting to be snapped up, built and cherished.

I personally love collecting Star Wars and Harry Potter sets, so I was delighted to see Amazon is offering a variety in its Black Friday sale. You can get 40% off the adorable Dobby the House Elf set which now costs £14.99 (RRP £24.99), while the 349-piece Triwizard Tournament build is currently priced at £25.99, down from £39.99.

R2-D2 is already a part of my collection, but if you’re yet to add it to yours, you can now buy the adorable droid from Amazon for £62.99, down from £89.99. Designed for ages over 10 years, the set has 1,050 pieces and you can find out more about it in my write-up here.

Lord of the Rings fans will be thrilled to see the beautiful Amazon Exclusive Rivendell set designed for adults has been reduced by £65. Comprising 6,167 pieces, the build lets you explore the iconic location and create the Council of Elrond, plus it includes 15 character minifigures.

If you’re a gamer or know someone who is, Amazon is offering 40% off the Lego Ideas Sonic the Hedgehog set. Usually retailing at £69.99, the 1,125-piece build can now be snapped up for £41.99 and is designed for adults, letting them relive the classic video game.

Super Mario has also been transformed into Lego bricks, with the set suitable for ages eight and up now costing £77.99 (RRP £114.99). Made up of 1,216 pieces, it lets children and adults explore the iconic world with five of the beloved characters.

Amazon hasn’t left out Disney fans, as you can snap up the Wish Asha’s Cottage Playset with a lovely 45% off, bringing the price down to £25.99 (RRP £46.99). Suitable for ages seven and up, the 509-piece build lets you bring the cute location from the film to life and includes three of the characters from Wish.

Have you been eyeing up the Frozen Castle set to give to a little one this Christmas? Elsa’s home is designed for children over four and can now be bought for £24.99, down from £39.99, during the online retailer’s Black Friday event. Made from 163 pieces, it includes adorable figures from the film, a play area and the castle has a spinning dancefloor.

If you or a loved one enjoys building vehicles, the Lego Technic Firefighter Aircraft Model Plane set currently has £35 off. The build, which is an Amazon Exclusive and suitable for ages over 10, now costs £59.99 (RRP £94.99) and features 1,134 pieces.

The City Arctic Explorer Ship has also received a big discount in the Amazon Black Friday sale, with it now costing £91.99, down from £129.99. Designed for ages seven and up, the 815-piece set floats on water and comes with seven minifigures and an orca whale.

The classy Amazon Exclusive Lego Grand Piano set can now be yours for £292.99, down from £344.99. The 3,662-piece adult build is sure to look stunning in your home and is the first-ever ‘playable’ Grand Piano model with 14 songs accessible via the Lego Powered Up app.

Ahead of Lewis Hamilton’s final race for Mercedes, why not treat yourself or an F1-loving friend or family member to the Technic Mercedes-AMG F1 W14? Amazon is offering the sports car for £13.99 (RRP £20.99) which is suitable for ages seven up and comprises 240 pieces.
