If you’re also one of those people who takes five products that do the exact same thing (knowing full well you’ll regret leaving the one you didn’t pack behind) look no further…
It can be hard to condense your make-up bag when you go on holiday, because it’s always the thing you don’t take which you miss the most. You promise yourself you won’t wear any foundation, but then you regret only packing concealers, and then you swear you won’t do a glam red lip, but are desperate to do one because it would’ve elevated the red dress you ended up packing last minute.
What is annoying though, is having blush, highlighter and eyeshadows in a different palette – but this is where social media favourite brand P Louise saved the day for me, because the palette meant that I could leave tonnes at home.
First things first, this palette may look chunky, but it’s deceptively light, meaning you won’t be using 5kg of your packing allowance on just cosmetics (I have most definitely been guilty of this in the past).
The one I opted for, shades Toasty and Tempting, also contains a gorgeous variety of darker nude shades, which complimented my green eyes perfectly. It’s described online as a “warm neutral colourway,” which is my perfect palette.
However, if you prefer your shades a lot cooler, you can get Best Served Cold, or somewhere in between, you could opt for Hot To Go.
On the P Louise website, the palette is described as a “trio of irresistible face and eye combos crafted to feed your make-up cravings morning, noon, and night,” and it will set you back £25, which, considering it has a huge variety of products in there, I think is a reasonable price point.
P Louise also often have bundle deals, and special deals on TikTok shop, so if you are looking to buy, it would be worth keeping your eyes peeled.
It contains a “gorgeous blush and glow duo,” so you can highlight your cheekbones to perfection.
There are also “12 multi-finish shadows (mattes, wet-look shimmers, and new baked shimmer formula).”
Not only that, but there’s a “double-ended brush,” with one side perfect for blending, and the other side ideal for packing the pigments on if you don’t want to use your finger.
I was so impressed by the colour payoff of all the shades I used, and I’m so fussy about highlighters, but the glow this one gives is second to none, and looks perfect for a holiday look.
Plus, I love a shimmery eye look with nothing else under it for maximum 90s nostalgia, and the glittery gold in this palette reflects the light perfectly, and as a result, earned me tonnes of compliments.
The formulas are so lightweight that it doesn’t feel like you’ve got a thing on your eyes. Often, glitters can be rather chunky and can feel uncomfortable on the eyes – especially if you’re sensitive like me – but you don’t need to worry about it here.
So, not only is the actual product lightweight and perfect for packing, but the formulas feel lightweight on the skin and pack a pigment punch. What more could you possibly ask for?
Forget taking 50 different face products when you’re going abroad, and sling this in your suitcase instead. You won’t regret it.
