‘I’m called gold digger for dating 62-year-old who spoils me but it’s true love’

Gigi, 31, has been in a relationship with Tim, 62, for 15 months and says she’s ‘never been happier’ – but the couple have been trolled by online haters who brand her a ‘gold digger’

A British woman dating a man 31 years her senior has hit back at trolls branding her a ‘gold digger’ after he whisked her away on 350 dates and six getaways. Gigi, 31, is loved-up with Tim, a 62 year old grandfather-of-two. Despite facing backlash from keyboard warriors, Gigi maintains their connection is real and dismisses critics as “sad, miserable people”.

The Bristol pair have been in a relationship for 15 months. In that time, Tim, who runs a motor garage, has spoiled his younger girlfriend with more than 350 dates and six holidays. “People can call me a gold digger as much as they want but I honestly don’t care,” Gigi, a content creator boasting over 33,000 followers, told What’s The Jam.

“Yes, we love going on date nights and we’ve been on six holidays together in 15 months.

“We’re actually heading to Japan in a couple of weeks, which we’re really excited about.”

She continued: “As soon as people find out my partner is 62 and I’m 31 they all assume it is for money.

“But they can’t see that my man looks incredible for his age, regardless of money.

“The reality is I’m happy and content – they [the critics] are the sad jealous ones. Happy people won’t hate, confident people won’t hate.”

Gigi claimed those who abuse the couple are “sad and miserable with no profile photo”.

“They call us names but they’re just losers,” she said.

Speaking about their adventures, Gigi reveals the duo have clocked up 350 dates so far and venture out three times weekly. “We absolutely love dining out and exploring new cuisines together,” she said.

“I think we’ve been to just about every restaurant in Bristol by now!”.

Gigi revealed her appreciation for Tim’s gentlemanly gesture of always covering the bill, explaining: “Not every outing is fine dining; sometimes it’s more casual. For us it’s really about enjoying the experience together, and Tim always takes care of the costs and that’s something I really love and admire about him.

“For me, it’s not about our age difference, it’s about the energy a man brings into the relationship.

“I’ve always believed that a man providing in that way is a natural expression of masculine energy, and it makes me feel cared for and cherished.

“He’s such a traditional man and that’s one of the many reasons I feel so connected to him.”

Tim, who has remained single for more than two decades following his divorce, encountered his partner in July 2024.

He is father to two children, including a daughter whose age is similar to Gigi’s.

Gigi declared: “This is my most loving perfect relationship ever.

“I was married for eight years – I wed at 21 years old, divorced at 29 and met Tim at 30.

“I’d never had a long dating life as most of my 20s I was married.

“Unfortunately it didn’t work out with my ex-husband – and even he was 11 years older than me.”

Gigi, who admits she’s “always been attracted to older men”, claims she’s “never been happier” and has formed a bond with Tim’s relatives.

“I really like his children, they are fine with me and Tim is also a grandad,” she said. “His friends all know about me and know how obsessed I am with him.

“My parents are happy that I’m happy and love Tim.”
