Since the tragedy, an online fundraiser was launched by Mr Smith’s partner Shelly Price to raise money for Llanberis Mountain Rescue team. She wrote a heartbreaking message on Facebook stating: “As many of you already know, Tom, the most incredible and loving partner, and father to our 3 beautiful children, devastatingly lost his life over the weekend.

“Tom lived life to the full and was always looking for the next great adventure or goal to work towards, and he passed away in the most beautiful of places doing what he loved.

“In his memory, we as a family would love to raise as much money as we possibly can for Llanberis Mountain Rescue to ensure that this team of wonderful volunteers can continue to carry on their vital work. Please donate as much as you possibly can. Thank you. “

“Among many other brave individuals who were there to help Tom, the Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team were instrumental in making sure that he was cared for and rescued off the mountain so that he could be brought home to his family. Please help us to raise as much money as we possibly can for this amazing team of people.””
