Dramatic footage captured a pet lion on the loose in Pakistan after escaping from its cage as terrified locals ran for cover but it was shot dead by security officials
This is the incredible moment a huge pet lion prowls down a street before being shot dead after attacking locals.
The animal escaped from its cage at a resident’s home causing harm to several individuals in Harbanspura town in Lahore, Pakistan. Dramatic footage captured the beast running through the streets before it slipped while making a sharp turn at a corner.
In the startling video, the lion was also seen attempting to break into a house through its window while a man carrying a handcart filled with items looked on, watching the big cat flee the scene.
The situation turned ugly when the security officers were forced to shoot the lion after multiple attempts to capture it failed. Law enforcement officials arrived at the scene and took necessary legal action in response to the dangerous situation.
The incident comes in the wake of YouTuber Rajab’s recent imprisonment for illegally housing a lion cub without proper authorisation and brandishing firearms in public. The trend of wealthy individuals owning large cats as pets appears to be on the rise, despite the risks involved.
Following allegations of illegal possession of wildlife and public display of firearms, a joint operation was conducted by police and the Wildlife Department at Rajab’s residence in the Chung neighbourhood. The lion cub, which was reportedly gifted to Rajab on his wedding day, was confiscated during the raid.
An FIR has been filed against the YouTuber, who has been taken into custody for further questioning at a nearby police station. The extravagant nature of Rajab’s wedding celebrations, where large sums of money were lavishly spent on the couple and guests, has sparked criticism from social media users.

The man named as F Iriskulov, aged 44, is seen unlocking a padlock to the area at a private zoo, called the Lion Park, in Parkent, Uzbekistan at 5am during his night shift. In the clip it shows three lions which are looking quite relaxed to begin with and just watching him approach.
But suddenly they spring up and he steps back in evident surprise, yet still at this point the predators do not attack. He is heard repeatedly calling the name of one of the lions: “Simba.” Time and again he tells the wild animal: “Simba, be quiet.”
An official statement said: “The lions killed him and partially consumed his body.” The man’s remains were only found by other zooworkers four hours after the attack, it was reveale
