Influencer ‘carrying newborn twins’ as armed cops stormed hospital to arrest him

By staff19 September 2025No Comments3 Mins Read

Sam Walker, a self-proclaimed influencer, claims ‘trolls’ were behind armed police rushing to Arrowe Park Hospital in Wirral where he was with his newborn twins

An influencer has blasted “trolls” for him being stopped at gunpoint by police at a UK hospital where he was holding his newly-born twin daughters.

Sam Walker has retold the moment armed police descended on Arrowe Park Hospital in Wirral shortly after 4pm on Sunday, August 17, before he was taken into custody. Merseyside Police confirmed a 42-year-old man, formerly of Liverpool, had been arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm and Walker later revealed on TikTok he was the man detained, claiming the incident was the result of a false report made by online “trolls”.

A self-proclaimed influencer, Walker has garnered a large following online. Originally from Liverpool, he has lived in Spain and his posts also talk about extensive trips to countries including Sierra Leone, Turkey and Thailand. He has talked about meeting criminals but he has also been accused of exaggerating stories.

Walker has now told the Liverpool Echo how “the happiest moment” of his life quickly turned to terror when police arrived. He said: “The trolls rang the hospital when they knew I was there, telling them I had firearms and there was going to be a shootout. They told the police I was armed and dangerous.

“My babies are two days old and armed police are running in with firearms. When they came in I had hold of my two little babies in my arms. They were only two days old. They came running into the room with guns pointing at my head.

“They asked me to go with them, so I gave the babies back to their mum. I ran out and they said, ‘we’ve had information you’re carrying firearms.’ And I just broke down.”

After being asked to hand over the babies to their mum, Walker was taken into custody. He was released after four hours and, following an investigation, the force has confirmed no further action will be taken.

Walker said: “I knew the charges would be dropped. There was no evidence against me because I’d done nothing wrong. I have to give the police their credit. They reassured my baby’s mum and everyone else in the hospital they were all safe.

“The police treated her so respectfully, she was so scared. I can’t fault them at all, I’ve got nothing bad to say about them. They were just doing their job.” Walker is now calling for those responsible for the hoax call to be held accountable.

He said: “I just want the people who made the call to be convicted. These people need to know they can’t just be going online and seeing I’m in the hospital and making those calls to say I’ve got guns. The lies are just terrible.

“Ringing a hospital where there’s a bunch of innocent women and men with newborn babies making lies up saying there’s a firearm there is as low as it gets.” A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: “We can confirm that no further action will be taken following a comprehensive investigation into this incident. The man arrested has been updated of the outcome.”
