Ukrainian model Maria Kovalchuk’s brutal attack highlights the dangers of Dubai’s “Porta Potty” parties, a disturbing trend luring influencers into risky situations
A tragic incident involving Ukrainian OnlyFans model Maria Kovalchuk, age 20, has drawn attention to a disturbing trend in Dubai called the “Porta Potty” parties.
These vile events, where women are allegedly paid to perform degrading sexual acts, have raised alarm following Maria’s brutal attack, shining a light on the darker side of Dubai’s influencer scene.
Maria had a large following on OnlyFans, but on March 9, she vanished after attending a party at a Dubai hotel. Two men who introduced themselves as modelling agents had reportedly invited her. Alarm bells rang when she missed her flight to Thailand, and her family filed a missing persons report.

On March 19, 10 days later, Maria’s battered body was found on the roadside. Russian media reported she had broken limbs and a shattered spine, requiring surgery. Maria remains in critical condition and unable to speak.
Maria’s case mirrors the dangers faced by influencers lured to Dubai for promises of wealth and exposure, only to fall victim to exploitation. Maria had mentioned the party in her final messages, but when contact was lost, her family feared the worst.
‘Porta Potty’ refers to events where women are allegedly paid large sums to perform shocking sexual acts, often involving bodily fluids.
These parties reportedly target influencers with promises of luxury, but the reality is much darker. Radha Stirling, CEO of Detained in Dubai, claims several influencers have been coerced into participating in such acts.
Stirling warns: “Sex outside marriage has been legalised in Dubai and events organisers have been quick to take advantage of the new ‘relaxed laws’. Women need to be aware that they may face confronting and even dangerous situations, and if there is a married man involved, they can still be charged with adultery.
While Maria’s story exposes the dangers of Dubai’s influencer scene, it also highlights the broader landscape of platforms like OnlyFans. What starts as a way to make money can be emotionally draining.
In an interview with the Daily Mail, Paislee Bial, 30, a creator on the platform, admitted she initially thought it would be easy but quickly learned otherwise. “Turns out, it’s a bit more complex than just posting pictures online and waiting for the money to rain down. Who knew?” she said.
Some of the earnings can be immense. Yahoo! Life reported that Corinna Kopf earned $67 million on OnlyFans since 2021, while Sophie Rain earned $43 million in one year. However, Paislee explained that the work is far from simple. In her interview with the Daily Mail, Paislee said, “You have to be a content machine, a sales expert, and a therapist all in one.”
Maria’s mother told Ukrainian media: “There is an assumption that she went to a party. But the promoter who organised these parties did not see her. Today, [she] was found in the hospital in serious condition. She has no documents, no phone, nothing. She has undergone three operations. And she cannot speak.”
The platform also has a much darker side. Victoria Sinis, a former OnlyFans recruiter, described the disturbing sexual requests made to some women. She said she was repelled by the sick and twisted things men asked for.
Maria’s case is a reminder of the risks involved in the influencer world. As the investigation into Maria’s attack continues, her family and friends are holding onto hope for her recovery.
The Dubai “Porta Potty” trend has gained significant traction on TikToK .VoxNews reported that the term “Porta Potty” gained notoriety after a Nigerian schoolgirl’s explicit video with wealthy Dubai men went viral.
Following this, TikTok influencers claimed that rich men were paying large sums to models and influencers for similar acts, sparking discussion about frequent Dubai visits by influencers.
In a bizarre turn of events yesterday, Dubai police released a statement which said: “Dubai Police confirm that the Ukrainian citizen previously reported missing is currently hospitalised, receiving medical care with her family present.
“A comprehensive investigation has revealed that she sustained serious injuries after entering a restricted construction site alone and falling from a height.” Whilst investigations have been ongoing, it’s still being reported that Maria remains unable to speak.
