Inside home covered in rubbish for sale at £180,000

By staff12 October 2025No Comments2 Mins Read

Many rooms are buried beneath towering piles of rubbish

A three-bedroom house, buried beneath towering heaps of refuse and spider webs, has been listed for £180,000. The property, requiring a “full renovation”, is choked with black refuse sacks, filth, and decades of gathered dust.

Startling photos show barely any flooring visible under mountains of debris in the sitting room, whilst a brown-stained lavatory and web-covered windows reveal the genuine state of the dwelling. The detached house, listed by Field Palmer estate agents, is going to public auction, as reported by Luxury Property News.

Despite the mayhem, the Eastleigh, Southampton home boasts off-road parking, a garage, and a substantial private garden. Inside, it features an entrance hall with stained glass windows, a lounge, dining room, and kitchen on the ground floor.

Upstairs, there are three bedrooms, a bathroom, and a separate toilet. The listing declares: “This three-bedroom, substantial detached property offers endless potential. This property requires a full renovation, and viewing is highly recommended.”

Purchasers brave enough to tackle this challenge could convert the grimy project into a dream family home – if they can see past the cobwebs first. Eastleigh, where the property sits, is a historically important town in Hampshire.

The area boasts a history stretching back to 79 AD, when it began being constructed on an ancient Roman road. Over the centuries, it evolved into a Saxon village called ‘East Leah’, dating back over one thousand years.

The broader Eastleigh region has also previously been spotlighted as one of the UK’s top places to live, according to Channel 4 in 2006. The property itself, nestled on Upper Deacon Road, is a stone’s throw away from Bitterne Village, which boasts a plethora of amenities for your daily needs.

The village is easily reachable via nearby public transport or even a brisk walk. This public transport, including a nearby train station and bus stop, can whisk you off to Southampton City Centre for a day of retail therapy.

The full listing for the property can be found here.
