The Lionesses have risen to success during the Euros and will face Spain in the final this Sunday, but when they’re not on the pitch, they can be found at their stunning yet minimalist homes
As the England Women’s Football team prepares for their Euro final match against Spain this Sunday, footie fans are eager to learn more about the gifted players – including where they reside.
Despite their hectic schedules, the Lionesses still manage to add personal touches to their homes. Many of them reside in mid-sized houses adorned with modern decor and sleek furnishings, hinting at a possible shared love for minimalistic interiors within the squad.
There’s even the odd football memorabilia spotted in the background, and spaces they’ve created for those all-important recovery days. Let’s take a closer look inside…
Alex Greenwood
Lioness left-back Alex Greenwood shares her home with partner Jack O’Connell, whom she met during her teenage years. The 31-year-old Manchester City captain has kept most of her home life off social media, but a handful of posts revealed that she has a plush grey sofa and white-washed walls in her living room.
In snaps from February 2023, Greenwood can be seen lying on the snug grey sofa, adorned with matching cushions. Air diffusers sit on the white window seals, and a black coffee table and cabinet can be spotted in the background. There’s also a touching nod to her career, where a football sits in a stand on the cabinet – we just wonder what game it came from.
Lucy Bronze
The Chelsea right-back, known as one of the world’s top female footballers, lives in a stunning abode with a trendy bedroom and sleek kitchen. In photos shared on Instagram, Bronze revealed her terracotta and pink-shaded bedroom, with warm furnishings and cosy interiors.
The room is adorned with abstract art above the bed, plants on the wooden chest of drawers, a circle mirror, lamps with rattan shades, and plush pillows scattered across the double bed. With its warming tones and snug features, it is the perfect haven.
In an Instagram post back in 2021, Lucy is thought to have shared another look inside her home, this time her kitchen.
While it’s unclear if Bronze has since moved, the large kitchen boasted sleek grey cabinets and a large island in the middle. In the snap, Bronze beamed alongside her Nan to sweetly wish her a happy birthday.
The same room with the kitchen and open-planned space was featured in another Instagram post in the same year, this time with the footballer holding her beloved pooch. The downstairs area boasts white tiled flooring and white walls for a minimalistic finish, with large patio doors spanning the room.
Chloe Kelly
Arsenal forward Chloe Kelly lives with her husband, Scott, whom she married in July last year. They also have three adorable dogs, Rolo, Otis, and Brody.
Although they haven’t officially shown the public around their home, fans have had sneak peeks of its contemporary design on several occasions. The couple has opted for a minimalist aesthetic with a grey carpeted staircase, beige walls, and grey floorboards.
Ella Toone
In November 2022, the Manchester United attacking midfielder became a proud homeowner and is thought to be living with her long-term boyfriend, Joe Bunney. In a snap shared on Instagram at the time, Toone beamed as she stood outside her new pad and wrote the caption: “Happy new home day.”
In further snaps, Toone shared a closer glimpse inside her abode, including her living room, which follows the theme of other Lionesses’ style. The cosy area boasts a grey corner sofa, beige walls, abstract prints, a black coffee table, and a plush grey rug for extra comfort.
The dining room is just as sleek with a stone grey table with circular glass lights hanging above and two shelves filled with photos, ornaments, and plants. It really is the ideal abode to relax after a football tournament.
