The first images of a boy who died in a stabbing on a Scottish beach has emerged. Young Kayden Moy died following a stabbing at Irvine Beach.

Emergency services were called to the Ayrshire beauty spot on Saturday following reports of a youth with serious injuries. Kayden,16, from East Kilbride, was found with stab wounds to his stomach and he was rushed to Crosshouse Hospital. The teen tragically died from his injuries on Sunday morning.

A manhunt has been launched by cops in Scotland after awful footage of the attack circulated on social media. Around 40 youngsters could be seen gathered aroun the dunes just moments before the knife attack.

A boy, wearing all black, is then seen running away from the beach. It is understood Kayden was trying to put on his trainers to flee his attacker when he was stabbed.

Some teens and members of the public tried to perform CPR on Kayden before emergency crews arrived, an eyewitness said: “The boy was unconscious and not breathing when emergency teams showed up. Teenagers had to sit and do CPR on him.”

Detective Chief Inspector Campbell Jackson, Major Investigations Team, said according to the Daily Record: “An extensive investigation is underway to establish the full circumstances surrounding this death. Our officers are supporting the boy’s family at this very difficult and heartbreaking time.

“From our investigation so far, we know there were a number of people on the beach around the time of the disturbance. We believe several of them were filming at the time and may have footage of what happened.

“I would urge people to review the footage they have and contact police if they think the footage captured could be of significance to our investigation.” A police presence at the beach remained in place today.
