Is Arsenal vs West Ham on TV? Live stream details and kick-off time

Arsenal will look to make it three wins in eight days as they host a struggling West Ham side who are aiming to find their feet quickly under new boss Nuno Espirito Santo

Arsenal will be full of confidence heading into their home clash against West Ham on Saturday. Mikel Arteta’s side sit second in the Premier League and could leapfrog reigning champions Liverpool with a win over the Hammers, given the Reds kick-off later in the day against Chelsea.

The Gunners have had a tough run of fixtures to start the season. They’ve already faced Nottingham Forest, Liverpool, Manchester City and Newcastle, finding a last-minute win against the latter to claim all three points last weekend.

They’ve come through those tests with flying colours. Arteta’s men sit second in the table ahead of this weekend’s match and have only lost once; that defeat coming late on at Anfield. Now they’ll be aiming to go top, however briefly, by defeating their London rivals who languish in 19th after a horror start to the campaign.

West Ham’s 2-1 home defeat to Crystal Palace saw Graham Potter was dismissed from his post, with Nuno Espirito Santo speedily replacing him. While the ex-Wolves and Spurs boss began his tenure with a 1-1 draw against Everton, an away trip to the Emirates represents an altogether tougher task.

In what is Arsenal’s first London derby of the season, fans in the UK will unfortunately miss out as it won’t be televised. Mirror Football brings you all you need to know ahead of the clash, including kick-off times and how to tune into the action.

What time does Arsenal vs West Ham kick off?

Arsenal will welcome West Ham on Saturday, October 4, with the match against the Hammers set to kick off at 3pm.

It was the east London side that came out on top in their last clash, Jarrod Bowen scoring the only goal in a 1-0 win at the Emirates in February. That slender win came in stark contrast to the previous two matches between the sides which saw the Gunners win 5-2 and 6-0 in back-to-back thrashings at the London Stadium.

How to watch Arsenal vs West Ham

Unfortunately for UK fans, the London derby at the Emirates Stadium will not be shown live by either Sky Sports or TNT Sports. Due to the 3pm blackout that top-flight clubs are to adhere by, kick-offs at that time are not broadcast on TV.

However, that isn’t the same for countries abroad, with the blackout rule not applying to fans across the world. For supporters in the United States, they’re able to tune into the clash live with Peacock broadcasting the game.

Fans in the UK aren’t wholly cut off from watching the action but will have to wait until after full-time to do so. Highlights, which usually last around three minutes, will be posted on social media and YouTube by Sky Sports.

For those wanting to tune into extended highlights, Match of the Day regularly airs from 10:30pm on BBC One on Saturday night. The BBC staple can also be viewed on iPlayer from 8pm on Saturday.

Team news ahead of Arsenal vs West Ham

Arsenal fans were handed a scare when Gabriel Magalhaes limped off in their 2-0 win over Olympiacos in the week. But Arteta revealed that the substitution was only a precaution and stated that he thinks the defender will be okay for the weekend fixture.

Martin Odegaard completed 90 minutes against the Greek side for the first time since the Gunners’ opening day fixture against Manchester United. His phased return to the first-team picture could see him start his second game in a week against the Hammers.

Bukayo Saka is another poised for a start after he came on and scored his first Champions League goal of the season on Wednesday. In what will be Nuno Espirito Santo’s second game in charge, he’ll once again be without Tomas Soucek who’ll serve the last game of his three-match ban against Arsenal.

Having gone without Aaron Wan-Bissaka in their 1-1 draw with Everton due to the defender suffering from illness, it remains to be seen whether the ex-Manchester United star will be back for the trip to the Emirates.
