The dress is proving a hit with shoppers for its style that ‘doesn’t compromise on comfort’
Next shoppers have been getting so many compliments on a dress they say works for a casual daytime or classy nighttime look. There are plenty of style options to choose from, including various colours, sizes and patterns.
The high-street retailer’s Mini Sleeveless Racer Stretch Linen Blend Dress is proving popular with shoppers. Described by the Next team as “perfect for holidays and sunny day outfits,” the sleeveless dress is made with a linen-blend fabric that is said to be “light and breathable.”
It has a button and zip-up fastening to the back, and with stitched detailing, finished with a “flattering high neck shape”. It comes in five different styles, including a black shell print, blue gingham or red and black geo print (all £36).

The dress comes in sizes 6 to 24, and tall and petite fits. The top-rated style was the Cream and Black Polka Dot version (£36) of the mini dress, followed by the solid pink option (£34).
Shoppers wanting to enhance their holiday options could find similar items at other stores, too. For example, New Look has a major 70% discount on its Apricot Pink Pleated Linen-Look Knee Length Dress, while Matalan is selling this £26.60 Gini London White Linen Button Through Mini shirt Dress, down from £38.
In the review section of Next’s Mini Sleeveless Racer Stretch Linen Blend Dress, one shopper said: “Love this dress, lovely fit in tall. Suitable day or night for holidays.” Another added: “Love this dress, bit of stretch and comfy.”
A third wrote that it had a “flattering fit”. Another said: “You can either wear it in the daytime or dress it up for night out. Little stretch in the fabric which makes it really comfy too.”
Some styles have no reviews at all, which is not ideal if people like to check what others thought of an item once it arrived. A few did raise issues, though, such as one shopper who thought their dress arrived “ridiculously small” or another who claimed their £34 buy was “wasn’t even finished off properly”.
However, the feedback from dress shoppers was largely positive. Someone else posted: “Beautiful spring/summer dress. Lovely material and fits perfectly. [It’s my] favourite dress in the wardrobe.”
From the bold pink verison, a fifth put in their review: “Dress is lovely, cool and bright. It’s the perfect fit for me. I get so many compliments when I wear it.”
And, another added: “Lovely little dress that looks great on and I love the colour. Originally, I got the spotted one, and I liked it so much that I purchased this pink one too.”
