The No7 Future Renew Night Serum is the latest launch from the brand’s best-selling collection – here’s everything you need to know including how to get it at a discount
Ten weeks ago, I was given a milky-coloured serum to trial and instructed to apply it to my face nightly. At the time, I had no idea what the serum‘s ingredients were, what it was called or what it would do. It arrived in a plain, unbranded glass bottle, with zero marketing or information – just a skincare experiment waiting to happen.
I can now reveal that the product I’ve been applying to my face each evening before bed is a brand new skincare innovation from Boots’ best-selling No7 Future Renew range – and this one might be the most impressive product in the collection yet.
Having worked at Boots for five years and written about skincare for almost a decade, I’ve seen my fair share of beauty launches over the years. But none have captured the public’s imagination quite like No7 Future Renew.

The anti-ageing range took the world by storm when it launched in April 2023, becoming the ‘UK’s biggest ever beauty launch’ and selling almost 25,000 day serums on launch day. Since then, one product has continued to sell every seven seconds, with the products holding the record for the highest repeat purchase rate of any facial skincare in Boots.
With queues out of store doors and the website implementing a queuing system, it’s safe to say that Future Renew broke the internet. And it might just be about to do the same with the arrival of the Future Renew Night Serum – a product that promises to work while you sleep, in conjunction with our skin’s natural regeneration cycle, to deliver smoother, firmer and more radiant skin.
No7 Future Renew Night Serum 25ml
A luxurious night serum supercharged to reverse visible signs of skin damage while you sleep.
The Future Renew Night Serum arrives as Boots predicted the ‘science of slumber’ to be a big trend in 2025. Their report suggests that shoppers are demanding more from their overnight routine, looking for products that will work while they sleep for the ultimate glow up. And for me, their latest launch has done just that.
To give it a proper road test, I stripped back my routine to my usual cleanser (Elemis Pro Collagen Black Cherry) and two to three pumps of this serum each night. No added actives, no distractions – I wanted to see what this could really do.
What is it?
No7’s Future Renew Night Serum is designed to harness the power of skin’s natural overnight regeneration cycle. Backed by years of research with the University of Manchester, the formula uses a unique blend of peptides (aka skin-boosting building blocks) and something called chronotechnology. Essentially, it works in sync with your skin’s circadian rhythms to maximise repair during the 3am ‘sweet spot’, when your skin is naturally working hardest to recover from daily stressors.
Just like the rest of the products in the Future Renew range, it contains No7’s world-first super peptide blend, now expertly crafted for night-time use and designed to reverse visible signs of skin damage, including fine lines, wrinkles, uneven tone and texture, and dry skin.
It also includes Lindera Strychnifolia, a plant extract that helps strengthen the skin’s internal clock and boost nighttime repair signals, making it No7’s ‘most scientifically advanced night formulation’. And finally, there’s niacinamide, which has a range of great skincare benefits, from reducing redness and inflammation to improving skin texture, minimising the appearance of pores and helping prevent acne and blemishes.
Does it work?
In a word: yes. I began applying the serum nightly using two or three pumps per night. The serum is thicker than many serums I’ve tried, which are often watery, with a little going a long way. The texture upon application was really luxurious, with a light, fresh fragrance. It immediately hydrated my skin and made it feel soft, absorbing well with no stickiness or residue left behind.
Within two weeks, friends started commenting on how glowy my skin looked and by week four, I noticed a real shift – my usual redness had calmed down significantly, and the texture of my skin felt smoother and more refined. By the eight-week mark, my blemishes had reduced, my complexion looked more even, and my skin felt clearer and more resilient overall. I now know that’s because niacinamide can help strengthen the skin’s natural protective barrier.
I even noticed my fine lines, especially on my forehead, looking softer. However, I still think Vitamin A – such as Medik8’s Crystal Retinal, £69 – is the ultimate solution for deep lines. But this No7 serum has definitely made a visible difference without any of the irritation. My skin has been left looking glowy and smoother, with less skin texture and reduced redness. I think one thing I really like is that, even though it’s dermatologist-approved, clinically proven, and backed by serious science, it still feels accessible and enjoyable to use.
And I’m not the only one to have noticed an improvement in my skin. Impressively, during studies, 100% of women saw improvement in multiple visible signs of skin damage after using the serum for 24 weeks.
I still have a small amount of the serum left, so I would say that the 25ml size will likely last you around 12 weeks depending on how much you use, but if you’re heavy-handed like me, you might go through it quicker. At £39.95 for the 25ml and £49.95 for the 50ml, it makes more sense to go big.
What are shoppers saying?
Already, the serum has earned a 4.4 star rating on the Boots website from reviewers who got their hands on it early. One said: “I have used it for 4 weeks and just starting to notice that fines lines are less noticeable. I like the consistency of the Serum, it applies easily and absorbs well. Fragrance is very light. Skin feels instantly moisturised and nourished. Will carry on using.”
“I enjoyed using this product. Its texture is lovely and smooth, and it absorbs into the skin very quickly, leaving my skin feeling hydrated afterwards,” said another. “It feels luxurious and like I am treating myself. It is for more mature skin, like mine, and it has some skin-firming properties, too. There is a slight scent to it, which I do not mind. I definitely recommend buying it again.”
But it wasn’t for everyone, with one commenting: “Wasn’t a winner for me! Texture felt a bit sticky on application, didn’t absorb into skin well but it’s going to last a while as a little goes a long long way! Fresh fragrance which was pleasant enough.”
Meanwhile, a fourth added: “This night serum has a lovely silky texture that sinks in quickly. I’ve been using it for about a month now and I definitely feel like there’s an improvement. The texture of my skins seems smoother and feels lovely and soft. My skin feels firmer and I can see some of the finer lines around my eyes are definitely looking better. There is a very light fragrance, it’s slightly like cucumber and certainly not bad at all. I actually quite liked the scent!”
