A man known as Harry Tokky on TikTok has shared the chip shop “all Brits” should visit when on their travels. He thinks it’s the best ever chip shop in Spain
There’s nothing quite like tucking into a good chippy tea – especially when you’re on holiday.
And, if you’re heading to Spain any time soon then you’re in luck, as a man thinks he’s found the best chip shop on offer in the country. Viral content creator, Harry Tokky, said he’s found the best takeaway in Benidorm – and he explained exactly why he thinks it ranks so highly.
Harry thinks Ray’s Chippy could be dishing up the “nicest fish and chips” in all of Spain. People have been telling him to visit to sample the goods for quite some time, and he recently did a taste test.
Based on Harry’s review, it’s fair to say it didn’t disappoint, and he couldn’t help but tell his followers what it was like. He sat down at the table, glanced at the menu and couldn’t wait to tell people what was on offer.
Harry said: “They’ve got the classic salt and vinegar, so that’s a good start. I’m not going to lie, the smell is amazing. I’ve just ordered a cheeky cod and chips really, nothing special. Oldest chippy in Benidorm. It looks great – smells good as well. And like that the food has arrived.”
After he’s served his meal, he adds: “Oh, this looks good. This is next level. Amazing. This meal is unbelievable – you’ve got to get down here. Now that was the nicest fish and chips I’ve ever had at the best possible price. Ray’s Chippy – 10/10.”
In the clip, you can see the meal cost him €13.70 for the food and a drink. Most people seemed to think this was pretty reasonable.
Since the video was shared, it’s been viewed thousands of times, and people were quick to comment too. They had all sorts of responses.
One person said: “I always go to Ray’s in the old town. Excellent.” Another added: “Finally! Glad you enjoyed it. Told you it was worth a visit – you’ll be a regular now.”
A third also replied: “Lovely food – go every time I’m in Benidorm.” Meanwhile, a fouth also commented: “Been here, and it really is the best in Benidorm.”
