Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson leaked fight script could not have been more wrong

By staff28 June 2025No Comments4 Mins Read

Both Paul and Tyson went head-to-head back in November, but fight fans were left stunned after a fight ‘script’ was leaked

A fake script claiming to outline how Mike Tyson’s fight with Jake Paul would play out proved to be spectacularly wrong.

The pair were supposed to go head-to-head last July – but the clash was scrapped after Tyson suffered an ulcer flare up on a flight. Eventually, the pair settled the score once and for all. Despite failing to knock the 58-year-old out, Paul would go on to cruise to a victory on points.

Ahead of the clash, both men promised to knock the other out and the script, which is similar to the fake one which was shared before Paul fought Tommy Fury last year, provided details of each round until the fifth when Paul stopped a tired Tyson and ultimately had his hand raised. The leaked script was quickly shown to be fake, but here is what it claimed would happen…

Round 1 : The opening bell rings and Tyson, showing flashes of his old form, immediately stalks forward with his signature bob-and-weave style. Paul maintains distance, circling the ring cautiously. Tyson lands a few jabs but Paul’s youth shows in his superior mobility. Paul connects with a quick one-two combination before retreating. Tyson’s timing appears slightly off, his punches a fraction slower than in his prime.

Jake Paul and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr will fight on Saturday exclusively on DAZN with the PPV coming with seven days free access to the streaming platform included in the price.

Round 2 : Tyson comes alive, cutting off the ring more effectively. He lands a thunderous left hook to Paul’s body that draws a collective gasp from the crowd. Paul weathers the storm, using his reach advantage to pepper Tyson with long jabs. The younger fighter’s stamina becomes evident as he bounces on his toes, while Tyson’s breathing grows heavier.

Round 3 : Paul gains confidence, starting to plant his feet more. He lands a sharp right cross that momentarily stuns Tyson. The former champion responds with a vintage combination, but Paul slips most of it. The speed difference becomes more apparent as Paul begins finding his range with his jab. Tyson’s legendary head movement starts to slow.

Round 4: Fatigue sets in for Tyson, though his punches still carry devastating power. Paul establishes his rhythm, landing increasingly clean shots. A particularly sharp right hand opens a cut above Tyson’s left eye. The old champion bulls forward, trying to close distance, but Paul’s footwork keeps him just out of range. The tide is turning.

Round 5 : The decisive round. Paul, sensing Tyson’s fatigue, begins to press forward more aggressively. He lands a crisp three-punch combination that backs Tyson to the ropes. As Tyson tries to weave away, Paul times him perfectly with a devastating right hand that catches his flush on the chin. Tyson’s legs buckle and he drops to the canvas. The referee begins the count, but Tyson, despite his warrior’s heart, cannot beat the ten count. Winner: Jake Paul by KO, Round 5

The YouTuber-turned-boxer is set to return to action on Saturday night and will take on former middleweight world champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr in Anaheim. The highly-anticipated showdown will be contested at cruiserweight – with Chavez Jr coming into the dust-up off a win over former UFC middleweight contender Uriah Hall.

Over the years, the 28-year-old has been criticised by many for ‘fixing’ his fights. The American is once again at the heart of ‘fix’ claims ahead of his return to competitive action. Professional Boxing Coach Daley Perales recently weighed in and offered his verdict on Chavez Jr’s fight with Paul. Perales seemingly shared a post of the Mexican fighter preparing for the contest on his official Instagram page – with the caption: “Chavez has not been motivated for a very long time. But this fight looks like it has woken him back up. He looks healthy and locked in. If the right Chavez turns up then he wins. If the right Chavez turns up and losses, then it is a fix.”
