How to make Jamie Oliver’s lemon tart
Ingredients
- 320g sheet of ready-rolled puff pastry
- 120g of icing sugar
- 150g of raspberries
- Four large eggs
- Five lemons (120ml lemon juice)
Kitchen equipment needed
- Cheese grater
- Non-stick ovenproof frying pan
- Large heat-proof bow
Instructions
Jamie has made crafting this sweet temptation a breeze – kick things off by heating your oven to 190C and follow the steps for a tangy triumph.
While your pastry is baking, zest the remaining lemons into a large bowl and squeeze in the juice (around 120ml). Next, whisk in the icing sugar and eggs.
Place this bowl over a pot of simmering water on medium heat. Keep whisking for about 10 minutes or until the mixture thickens up, reports the Express.
Once the pastry is cooked, pour this lemony mix into the mature case, then pop it under a hot grill in the oven for a few moments.
Remove from the oven and let it cool down for a bit. Serve at room temperature with a scattering of fresh raspberries on top and voila, your scrumptious tart is ready to be devoured.
