Jihad Al-Shamie’s voice heard for first time in voicemail terrorist sent to ‘second wife’

Jihad Al-Shamie, the terrorist behind the Manchester synagogue attack, tells the woman he begged to be his “second wife” how Allah will “forgive her for her shortcomings”

The voice of synagogue terrorist Jihad Al-Shamie can be heard for the first time today in a voicemail message he sent to a woman he married in an Islamic ceremony – then begged to be his “second wife”.

In it, the evil murderer says he misses the woman’s children – and tells her how Allah will “forgive her for her shortcomings”. Al-Shamie – who launched a knife and car attack on Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation synagogue last Thursday, leaving two people dead and four injured – admits to being “angry” and saying “some stuff” to the woman.

He calls her “babe” and professes how he feels about her. The message was sent to the woman after Al-Shamie admitted to her that he was already married with a child at the time he married her.

The pair exchanged vows in a “Nikah” ceremony, an Islamic marriage contract ceremony, in January, 2022. Al-Shamie – who was shot dead by armed police outside the synagogue – vows to her that he will leave Manchester and go to live near her, a lie which didn’t happen.

He also offers to ‘support’ her – “and all that stuff”. His voicemail, exclusively revealed by the press, says: “Look, first of all I didn’t say anything about the kids, alright.

“I love both of them. I miss them a lot. I miss [child) and I was getting to know [child]. I have not seem them in ages. Obviously I was angry – I said some stuff.

“Like I said to you in person, I never say, I never treat you badly. I never say anything bad to you. You know, you always say and shout at me. I always take it and you calm down afterwards.

“I forgive you – you know, you should forgive me. You are only in Islam if you forgive people. It’s a very good thing. Allah will forgive you for your shortcomings.

“So I know you are annoyed with me babe, but listen. I know I shouldn’t have said that to you, alright. And I know I have upset you. But you know how I feel about you. You know how much you mean to me and how much those kids mean to me.

“I’m going to be living very close to you very soon. And we can make it work this time, properly. I am not going to be in Manchester. I am going to be able to see you whenever. I can stay over for as long as you want, support you, all that sort of stuff. Just know that I miss you a lot, I miss the kids a lot. I will come see you on Friday. We need to talk about this properly in person. Just talk.”

The woman met Al-Shamie on a Muslim dating site in December 2021 and went on to marry him in an Islamic ceremony, according to the Manchester Evening News.

Two Jewish men, Adrian Daulby, 53, and Melvin Cravitz, 66, were killed in the attack last week. Mr Daulby is believed to have been hit by police gunfire as firearms officers shot Al-Shamie.

According to Counter Terror Police, Al-Shamie was seen acting ‘suspiciously’ outside the synagogue before he was confronted by security and walked away. He then returned 15 minutes later in a vehicle and began the attack, they said, which police were first alerted to at 9.31am.
