Jude Bellingham’s partner, Ashlyn Castro, has released a video addressing some of the rumours that have been spread about her since it emerged she was dating the Real Madrid star
Jude Bellingham’s influencer girlfriend has furiously hit back at some of the ‘disrespectful’ claims made about her personal life in a new video on TikTok.
It emerged at the start of the year that Ashlyn Castro and the Real Madrid superstar were dating. The couple then went public last month when Bellingham flew back from Real Madrid’s meeting with Manchester City in the Champions League with her.
Unfortunately for the couple, the start of their relationship has been plagued by claims about Castro’s past. She has been romantically linked with Michael B Jordan and other famous names by reports and it was also claimed that she had dated Lewis Hamilton and Jamie Foxx in the past. There was also an incident where a Castro profile was shown on an escort site, although this was quickly debunked.
Castro, 27, has now taken to social media to share her side of the story in a video titled ‘The hardest part is not speaking the truth, but finding the courage to do it’.
‘I don’t even know where to begin, but I’m going to try my best to just get into it,’ she said. “It makes me super uncomfortable talking on camera about my personal life. I’ve never even really spoken on camera too many times, so bear with me.
“Every angle you can think of, people have attacked me, harassed me, been so disrespectful. It’s just been too much.
“Let’s talk about this dating history. I’ve had three boyfriends over the last eight years. In 2017, I was in my very first relationship and he’s a public figure, so because of that, I’ve dealt with people talking about me, making up things about me.
“There was nothing on the internet about me prior, so people kind of just made up a bunch of things to justify hating me because of who I was dating at the time. And then over the last six years after that, I’ve dated two people. So three relationships in total.”
Castro went on to address rumours claiming she has made fake social media accounts in the video, saying she had ‘never’ done such things, nor had she ‘retweeted offensive things’. She says she’s only had one account on the X platform, which was then Twitter, and has only tweeted one time since setting up said account in 2013.
She was frank about how difficult she found making such a video but also expressed the importance of doing so for her own mental health in light of some of the claims that have been made about her.
“I’m like shaking because I’m not ready to talk about this on the internet,” she added. “This is extremely personal. This is my real life. I shouldn’t have to talk about this. But moving forward I will talk about things that are important such as mental health.
“This is something that I wanted to use my platform for but I just wasn’t ready.”
