Katie Price has been slammed by a Pride group who released a scathing statement hitting out at her professionalism following her withdrawal from an upcoming event
A scathing statement has hit out at Katie Price after her last-minute cancellation of a fundraising event. The former glamour model, 47, had been booked to headline an afterparty event at Milton Keynes Pride Festival.
However, the organisers of MK Pride have said they were left less than impressed with their efforts to get the star turn to confirm her obligation. Instead, they have now released a damning message on social media. While insisting the event will still go ahead without the mum-of-five, the Facebook post hit out at Katie’s apparent “lack of accountability and professionalism”.
Taking to the platform, the statement read: “Milton Keynes Pride Festival is a not-for-profit organisation. The official afterparty was booked and promoted as a fundraising event, with Katie Price contracted as the headline performer.

“Despite repeated attempts of contact to fulfil this agreement, her management has confirmed she will not be honouring her booking. This decision was made at short notice and is entirely outside of our control.”
The organisation went on: “As a Pride organisation, we are committed to transparency. For context, much has already been reported in the media about Ms Price’s approach to her professional commitments.
“While our community has consistently supported her, it is deeply regrettable that this support has not been reciprocated. Choosing not to meet her obligations to a charitable Pride event demonstrates a lack of accountability and professionalism, and we share in the community’s disappointment.”
The organisers continued to ask partiers for patience as they look for a replacement. However, they confirmed Katie’s withdrawal will not bring the afterparty to its knees.
“The afterparty will still proceed as planned at Pink Punters and we are currently working on a replacement for Katie Price,” the statement added. “Please allow some time for us to do this, and an announcement will follow shortly.
“All ticket holders are encouraged to retain their tickets in support of the main Milton Keynes Pride Festival remaining free for all to attend. However, if they wish to refund their tickets, we will be in direct contact with all ticket holders to arrange this process. “MK Pride will still operate the dedicated coaches from Campbell Park to Pink Punters, as an additional offering to ensure our community can continue Pride celebrations together.
“Despite this situation being entirely outside of our control, Milton Keynes Pride remains, as always, fully committed to delivering an inclusive, safe, and unforgettable celebration for our community.”
The news comes as Katie gets ready to release new music. She revealed she has been back in the studio writing new music before her sudden chart success with 2017 track I Got U.
And she has confirmed she is set to release a brand-new track with an X Factor legend writing the track. Former contestant Craig Colton is the man behind Katie’s new track as she continues her dream move.
