This gourmand comes in a beautiful pink bottle and is perfect for winter time
Kayali is one of my favourite perfume brand’s on the market – and I have a pretty extensive fragrance collection. I’ve got at least 80 bottles of perfume but the brand that I turn to most often is Kayali for its classic gourmand scents.
Gourmand scents are not strictly sweet but instead ‘edible’. I like to smell, quite literally, like a snack at all times. Some of my all time favourite perfumes are Eilish by Billie Eilish (£27.20, Boots) which is a chocolate and vanilla blend and Yum Pistachio Gelato (£78.45, Sephora) which smells just like a nutty ice cream. When I found out Yum was expanding with a marshmallow scent I was over the moon.
I was lucky enough to get my hands on a bottle a month before the scent officially hit the market. I will say off the bat Yum Boujee Marshmallow is the sweetest I’ve come across in the entire Kayali range. It starts at £28 for a 10ml bottle but I’ve got the £79 50ml.

Mona Kattan, the founder of the brand said: “As a gourmand lover, I have always been addicted to sweet and delicious fragrances – especially ones that make me smell like my favourite desserts! This is how Yum Pistachio Gelato | 33 was inspired. Our Yum story continues with the addition of Yum Boujee Marshmallow | 81, an incredibly boujee, fluffy and indulgent juice – a sweet treat for your senses!
“The inspiration behind the hero note, pink marshmallow, came shortly after my husband and I got married – he calls me his “marshmallow” because I always smell so sweet and comforting! To make the juice even more tempting, we added fresh strawberries, whipped vanilla cream and light, flaky coconut – making this fragrance one of our most irresistible scents to date!”
On first spritz I get so much strawberry but it quickly mellows out to a true marshmallow. I see a lot of fragrance claim marshmallow as a note, which isn’t always a good thing. In Sabrina Carpenter’s Sweet Tooth I found it a little too sweet and juvenile while in Love, Don’t Be Shy by Kilian it’s perfectly balanced out with florals and spices.
It’s not just me that likes it, over on Sephora it’s already pulled in an average rating of 4.9 from across 198 reviews. One shopper said: “I’m completely obsessed with the KAYALI Yum Boujee Marshmallow fragrance! It’s the perfect mix of sweet, warm, and sophisticated. The marshmallow and strawberry notes are indulgent and creamy, balanced beautifully with soft hints of vanilla and a touch of pink musk. The scent is sweet but not overwhelming, with a subtle depth that lasts all day. It’s perfect for any occasion, whether you’re looking for something fun or a more refined scent. If you love sweet, gourmand fragrances with a touch of sophistication, this is a must-try. It’s definitely become one of my go-to perfumes!”
A second added: “This fragrance is just absolutely delicious. Love every single note of this fragrance. It’s such an amazing blend of strawberry marshmallow and that all settles to a warm vanilla scent. It sets so well on skin and I’m obsessed.”
One of its lowest ratings read: “It’s okay. This new KAYALI scent brings to mind a playful, dessert-like strawberry milkshake—it’s delightfully sweet, with hints reminiscent of strawberry milk in tetrapacks and fluffy marshmallows. While it’s not my everyday choice, it works wonderfully layered with a vanilla-based fragrance to soften the sweetness. It’s an ideal pick for anyone who loves staying sweet and bubbly with a feminine touch.”
